Today, the 23rd of March, is the feast day of Saint Rafqa Pietra Choboq ar-Rayès, Maronite nun. We commonly refer to her as Shafi’at al Muta’limeen (شفيعة المتألمين) which means “the intercessor for those in great pain” so be sure to invoke the Saint’s intercession for help and for the easing of the pain of the sick in both body and heart. Have a blessed feast day, everybody!

Saint Rafqa, intercessor of the sick and the pained, pray for us on this blessed day. Pray that the tears are wiped off the cheeks of the grieved and the mourning and pray that the faithful departed find restful sleep in the bosom of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. Pray that the afflicted find relief from their illnesses and troubles, and pray finally for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of the world.

Sorry for the slow reply on here, last week was very hectic. Thank you for posting St. Rafqa’s day. I learned about her a few weeks ago because someone left holy cards of her at the Adoration chapel. She is a fascinating saint, but her life story from the part where she gets ill onwards is very hard to read for those of us who are not as united with Christ as she was.

Is there a prayer commemorating her day from the Qurbono similar to this one for Mar Maron’s day? I have added her to my spreadsheet for March 23, but as usual, having difficulty finding the prayer of the day for her online.
