My mom (former Catholic converted to Judaism) died a few months ago, and while going through the stuff we put into storage from her apartment, I found a really, really old holy card for a Saint Rocco. Its all in Italian, too, and from a church near where she grew up as a child (though not the parish she attended as a child, so I don’t know how she got it.) It might have been my grandmother’s.

Anyway, does anyone know what significance this saint has for Italians or Italian-Americans? I can’t read the card because my Italian isn’t that good! What is Saint Rocco the saint of, or for?
