I have a strong devotion to St. Therese. I feel like I have read almost every book out there that is about her. However, I feel like I still want to know more about her. I have wondered what she sounded like when she spoke, how tall she was, what her physical build was like, her hair color (some say blonde), etc. I wonder what her favorite food was or favorite drink. I guess these are all things I will find out when I get to meet her in heaven one day, but until that day comes does anyone have any (name removed by moderator)ut?

Thanks!🙂

Have you read Story of a Family? It is wonderful. It gives lots of little anecdotes about St. Therese and her home life. I think they’ve also published her mother’s correspondence somewhere and although I haven’t read them, I imagine they would include little tidbits about St. Therese as well.

I have a devotion to her too, she’s a wonderful Saint 🙂

I suppose we should count ourselves as fortunate that we have access to photographs of her, which is more than can be said for a lot of Saint (wouldnt it be amazing to somehow be able to see a photo of St Francis, or Teresa of Avila, etc).

One of the reasons I have a devotion to her is that after reading The Story of a Soul I felt like I knew her. Hope you can find out more details about her.

Her hair was a medium brown, as can be seen on the locks preserved at the Carmel of Lisieux.

So good to hear this. I too have come to love the Little Flower in recent years. I say a continuous novena to her every morning and keep her picture in my room, kitchen, and office.

This link doesn’t have information about her personally, but it contains some of her most poignant quotes which give concentrated insight into the way she knew God in her soul.
