What are the requirements for Sainthood?
Being in Heaven, and being recognized by the Church as being so. If you are asking about the process, in 407 when St. John Chrysostom died there was no formal process, but generally what would happen is that people who died started to be venerated for their holiness and miracles within their city or region, and eventually Rome would approve the veneration (cultus). Today there is a very legalistic process. Further information here.

If I’m understanding your question correctly you’re asking what miracles were attributed to St. John Chrysostom that cleared his way for sainthood?

St. John Chrysostom has been recognized in both the East and West for quite a long time, probably since shortly after his death. It wasn’t until the Middle Ages that Popes in the West codified the process for declaring a person a Blessed or a Saint, which became the process we’re familiar with now.

Before that period sainthood was conferred by popular acclaim so many areas had saints that were very particular for their region or village that would make it onto local calendars, but people a few villages over may have never heard of. Then there were the examples of people like St. John Chrysostom whose writings and fame were pretty widespread before his death and his knowledge and influence was so profound that devotions to him spread rapidly and far and wide.

I’m sure there have been many miracles attributed to his intercession, but I also doubt that few if any underwent the same scrutiny that miracles typically do now.
