In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I made this thread to find out more on the extraordinary devotion of the Saints to the Blessed Virgin. I am not speaking of just everyday Saints but only about those who took Mary in a very intimate way.
Every saint loves the Blessed Virgin, and She in turn, loves them more than they love Her. But the Blessed Virgin loves and looks upon with far more tenderness those who have an extremely special affection for Her. They are Her whole heart; the apple of Her eye; Her biggest treasure.
There are children who are fond of being with their father and playing with their big brother, but there are those who are more fond of being by their Mothers side. And these, their Father looks upon with more tender affection for He loves His wife more than He does Himself: that is, God and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Consequently, these Marian children reach a union with God greater than the union of other saints who were less Marian. Such were Siant Bernard, Saint Alphonsus Marie de Ligouri, Saint Catherine Laboure, Saint Agnes of Rome, Saint Joseph, Saint John the Evangelist, Saint Peter the ‘Rock’, Saint Bernardine, Theophane Venard, Vincent Pallotti, Louis de Montfort, Gemma Galgani, Therese of Lisieux… and Pope Pius XII.
The object of this thread is to give a description of the immense devotion of the Siants towards the Blessed Virgin. They do not have to be just Saints and Blesseds but anyone will do, as long as:
a)we do not go off topic,
b)we exclude some like Jose Excriva, Mother Teresa, and those who died after 1968 or who are still alive.
c)Please do not quote heretics like Ronald Conte, Loughnan, Boyle, and Karl Keating! Ok, I am just kidding about the last one but please do not quote from heretics.
