Saints, did St John the evanglist write revelation?

Hello!

From the perspective of venerating the saints and seeking their help thru prayer, can I consider St John the Evangelist the writer of Revelation which is a book I am particularly drawn to? I could find anything of John of Patmos being a separate saint by Catholic thinking.

Since we are talking about John, I just reread 1st John and loved it!!! I really struggled with Paul, since I’m a big fan of the Torah and Judiasm. But how big was Paul in the church before Luther and the reformation? Obviously Paul is scripture, but Protestants seem to make him the most important or all the writers even over the gospels. I much prefer John’s depiction of faith over Paul’s.
