Who are some of the saints of your nationality?
I don’t think it’s wrong to feel about our own heritage even as we are native born americans… It’s kind of cool to look into our past…I’m a daughter of the American revolution and some Irish folks! so I have to watch out for too much exposure to the sun… hehe…For most folks on CAF, the only answers would be Mother Cabrini and Elisabeth Ann Seton.
I am a second / third generation child of immigrants; my nationality is a citizen of the USA.
As Roosevelt said, there is “no room for hyphenayed Americanism.”
As one Catholic people who share in the entirety of the Communion of Saints, there is no reason to pick a saint based on national identity when most, if not all US Citizens are immigrants or children of immigrants.

ST MARY MACKILLOP! how could you forget? We Australians only have one saint and I have forgotten her name. Some nun who had been excommunicated for insubordination which is very Australian. We have great devotion to her. Just wish I could remember who she was.
