I have heard of saints who (through a special grace) can quickly identify a consecrated Host from among many non-consecrated hosts. But I cannot find a specific account or a particular saint.

Can anyone assist me in further study?

Thanks!

My wife chose a beatified woman for her confirmation name, Blessed Anna Maria Taigi. She is also an uncorruptable. (sorry don’t really know the terminalogy). I recently read that she was once given an unconcecrated host and she was extremely sad about it. She somehow knew.

Anne Catherine Emmerich (sic), is not a saint, but a visionary from who’s ectasy’s the “Passion of the Christ” movie was based. She had this gift. In the Tan version of her book “The Dolores Passion of Our Lord” it also tells about her life. She would run to meet the priest coming to bring the Eucharist and be waiting kneeling on the path, then sometimes the host would miraculously appear on her tongue. She could tell when a priest going through town was carrying a consecrated host, etc.

That’s all the help I can give you, I remember reading that in the book several years ago.
