St. John Paul II

St. John XXIII
A cause for celebration! St. John XXIII was pope when I was born, and St. John Paul II was pope for the greater part of my life. What a blessing these two are for us!

Sadly, I slept through the live coverage of the canonization (“Can you not stay awake with me one hour?” I guess not…), but I’m looking forward to watching taped coverage this morning.

I didn’t even bother trying. Mainly because I’m not even sure if I get EWTN in the dorm.

Thank You Jesus for this glorious day…
For your Glorious Resurrection! Alleluia!
For Your gift of the Eucharist Alleluia!
For Your Divine Mercy Alleluia!
For Your Holy Saints Alleluia!
How You love us!
We pray that the whole world return this love to YOU and to each other!
:harp:
Alleluia!

Hey all!

I am looking for a “patron saints” section in the forums.

Looking for a (woman preferably) patron saint of either Spiritual Healing, or Spiritual Direction.

I am looking for my girlfriend who may be coming into the church next year. She wants to choose a Patron Saint for one of those, for her Confirmation.

Also, and and all prayers for her to make the right decision about joining the church, would be great!

(If there is a better thread in this for to post this in, plz let me know)

Thanks for any help, and God bless!

Just so people know, Julian of Norwich is venerated in the Anglican and Luthern Churches, but has never been beatified or canonized in the Catholic Church, for whatever that information may mean to others.

(and I say that, having a devotion to her. 🙂 )
