My 17 y/o nephew whose parents are fallen away Catholics is seeking Catholic info from me. I am no where near Salem, Oregon where they live and need to know if anyone has information for a good orthodox parish or priest out there.

There is a large parish in Salem, Oregon that hosted Fr. John Corapi a few years ago. Not every parish would sponsor Fr Corapi. St Joseph’s, I think. Will double check.

thanks for checking. I checked out the websites of 3 Catholic churches in Salem and St. Joseph’s looked the best by their bulletin, ministries and links.

The Benedictin Abbey, in Mt Angel, Oregon not far from Salem (15-20 miles?)has some great men. Fr. Pius Harding is one. There are more. Also the trappist’s have an abbey in that area.

We go to St. Mary’s in Corvallis, Or. when we are in Corvallis. The priest is wonderful…This is a college town and this priest reaches out to everyone. My husband is impressed that he remembers us even though we are only there about 6 times a year.
