Gosh Dizzy Dave is that a rhetorical question? What have you been doing?

As a Catholic, what must I do and believe to get to heaven?
Brother Abraham believed in God, his whole FAITH was in God. He did not see but believed. Any person could say that they believe, how ever there is something more expected in loving God. It is that we have a love relationship with God. When God told Abraham to move, he did without thinking, without asking why, that is the faith, the love relationship we have to have.

In the human sence we say we love that person, parents, girl friend etc, the relationship with God is the same. We are called to love God as our eternal lover who has, is, all love, has all desires to see His children loving Him the way we are, with His acceptance of our frailties and for this reason He created His most holy gift for us, His children " Mercy".
God loves us this way. To realise this we only have to look at and read the words of Jesus and realise the truth in this that all Jesus is is LOVE His whole life whole being whole expression here on earth is sumed up in " love one another the way I have loved you".
Jesus loved till all had been expired then He went out to pray (re fuel) and then out on the road again.
we are called to see the person who has nothing and to give then as we exorst our resourses then we ask again of God to fill us to give again.
An example
I’m sorry if this seems showy but to tell you what you can do, here is an example: I work at the hospital in security, on two occasions this week I took people who didn’t have a way to their home, and took them to their house. On neither occasion was money mentioned by me, but by the time I got the people to their homes I was able to tell them that I am a christian practicing at the Catholic faith, and that Jesus would have done the same for me. Very simple, and that is the love we have to have counting all we have as nothing, but that Jesus gave ALL for our sins, we in turn loving for that very reason, knowing that He alone is love.

If I wish to love then I must seek the true source of love loving it then in turn the source becomes a part of me.
God bless

Do what Jesus commanded us to do.

Love the Lord God, with your whole heart, your whole strength and your entire soul. Then love your neighbor as yourself.

Brother to love God and any person at all, we have to have our faith in the person we love. To love God as our God is to throw away all our human wants, look to Jesus as the source of life, the only way to the Father. Look to the Holy Spirit as the only person who can give us comfort that will never leave us.

Think spirit first, that is Jesus as your father Mary as your mother the saints as your brothers and sisters. ALL, yes ALL people in that case become our brothers on this earth. And in that you love the way Jesus did.

God bless

Such a loaded questions with both simple and complex answers…

Hmmm, are the requirements different if you’re NOT Catholic?
  1. Refer to the Map 😉
  2. Don’t be afraid to stop and ask for directions - then listen really carefully. (helps provide support to what you’re seeing on the Map.)
  3. This is the toughest part of the process: BELIEVE. (The are a lot of people with many more smarts that have made it…check the map they followed.) 😃 Bon Voyage!

dave , you’re a catholic and you ask about belief ,i suggest you take in matthew chapter 25, i think you may receive your answer. God bless you
