Can you give me a source for the documents of the last council?

It doesn’t say hell it just says punishment for past sins and it says they don’t enter immediately not at all. Likely he may be referring to purgatory I believe?

“That the unity of this Ecclesiastical Body is of such importance that ONLY for those who abide in it do the Church’s Sacraments contribute to salvation…”
“Nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed blood in the name of Christ, unless he has PERSEVERED IN THE BOSOM AND UNITY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.”

How do we not take that literally?

. St. Thomas even admits the grace of Baptism is not bestowed through Baptism of Desire (which the Church defines it as if one were to die immediately after Baptism then he would go to Heaven, immediately).

Invincible Ignorance would mean they are not judged for their ignorance of Christ and His True Church. Not that they are saved because of it. They are still judged on their sins against the Natural Law.

God can save people outside of the church but does it mean he will? considering we are bound by His Church and must hold His Catholic Faith to be saved.

Also, the catechism is not infallible.

Any corrections and rebuttals to this reply would be much appreciated.

Well,
The Solemn Magestorium is wrong. God says,” There shall be NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME!” We lightly say, FOOTBALL GAMES, SPORTS, TV, HOBBIES, anything that keeps us out of church on Sunday, is a sin. God is first. Now, organized religion, we can make into a god. If we lived in the country and no Catholic Church was around, and we were believers and read our Bible, we would not be rejected by God. If I was a Protestant missionary martyred for my faith, I d be welcomed by God. Look at evil POPES! They were Catholic and not going up. There is only Christ, who is our WAY, and TRUTH and LIFE.

I completely agree, Jesus never intended to create a legalistic religion rooted in collective narcissism. Actually he was debating the pharasies that were very legalistic. Anyways, is the magesterium infallible?

I’m glad you agree. I thought I’d be hit w heretical statements. I’ll always be in a relationship w God(Father,JESUS,HOLY SPIRIT). I was raised Catholic. I enjoy our worship style. I did leave for 4 yrs and was ASSEMBLY OF GOD. I was a Charismatic Catholic before leaving. Catholicism, is concerned w some degree of truth, in hysteria of manifestations of Holy Spirit. But, is ignoring the Holy Spirit, & not trusting God to sort that out, wrong? My gifts were received in Catholicism and used more as I grew. How does Holy Spirit feel being shoved out of circulation? Do Not sin against the Holy Spirit…??
Such Joy and love felt. Anyway, it is what it is. Going back to Tridentine mass is OK. But if church blames Vat. II Changes on reduced population, they’re wrong. They’re trying to put the blame from priest pediophilia and cover ups on VAT.II. They’re is one priest taken out of service to spend his life in prayer and solitude(?).
Why is he not defrocked and sent to jail? The only thing that will stop this is the appropriate punishment. God can provide mercy. We are to apply rules. God help all the kids hurt by these sick priests. Lord, we are so out of control. Holy Spirit guide us closer to You. In Jesus Name.

The magestrum is not infallible. Infallibility is secured when our Pope, sits on his chair and speaks EX CATHEDRA.

Well, I haven’t read your comment on St. Thomas’s review.
But, two things, Catholic means UNIVERSAL! Not just our church. JESUS’s universal Christian Church.
The other point is BILLY GRAHAM is going straight to heaven. All Christians will be judged on the state of our hearts w JESUS.

Now I’ll read Thomas.

There are various levels of infallibility, and the magesterium is, unless I am mistaken, infallible

It was drilled into me during 12 yrs of Catholic school, Baptism of desire, is honored by God.

The Catholic holds that there are three types of baptism by which one can be saved: sacramental baptism (with water), baptism of desire (explicit or implicit desire to be part of the Church founded by Jesus Christ), and baptism of blood (martyrdom).
Google Mystical Baptism written by a Catholic Theologian. It embellishes Romans 2.

Pope Pius IX, Dei Filius, Vatican I: “Wherefore, by divine and catholic faith all those things are to be believed which are contained in the word of God as found in scripture and tradition, and which are proposed by the church as matters to be believed as divinely revealed, whether by her solemn judgment or in her ordinary and universal magisterium.”

This seems to tell me that the magesterium is infallible.
People have yet to counter my arguments, and I’m still eager to find the one that does.

Blessings.
It’s a complicated sentence. 1- Scripture is the inspired word of God. DIVINELY INSPIRED!! Is key word. For ExCathedra, there is much prayer and research w scripture. Pope speaks infallibly, after much Prayer and research.

UNDERSTANDING THE INFALLIBILITY TEACHING

Are Catholics under the impression that unless a doctrine is infallibly taught, they
don’t have to abide by it?

By Russell Shaw

By declaring that the doctrine barring women’s ordination as priests has been taught
infallibly, the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith cited the infallibility
of the “ordinary and universal magisterium.” Quite apart from the women’s ordination
issue, that was an unusual, important and widely misunderstood step.

I’m having a little trouble w that. 12 yrs of Catholic school, and ExCathedra was the focus.
Bishops are not infallible. They can teach infallible teachings.

You are correct by the articles found. I’m having a hard time accepting this exactly.
Like scripture. It is an allegory in many parts. A story in a story. Adam and Eve was an explanation of creation THAT their is a God who created us. Science can tell us HOW GOD CREATED. There were more than one couple. The nuns were teaching in the 1950’s, poor Eve was having incestual relations w Cain and Able. It wasn’t incest then because that was all there was…
Sharia laws in Deuteronomy, are not practiced anymore. They were tribal, Patriarchally positioned abuse. So, parts of the story are not infallible. Many parts are Holy Spirit inspired. Daniel, Isaiah,…TNTC
There is a broad scope to that teaching on universal ad magesterium and a fine scope.
Must pray and research
