I also recommend listening to Michael Voris (youtube) on this subject.

or the problem may simply be there isn’t enough people/ candidates joining the priesthood.if it is true that men with “deep seated homosexual tendencies” are not allowed in Seminary, and this man was allowed not only to continue in Seminary, but actually be ordained to the Priesthood, do you see that as a “homosexual” problem or a “leadership” problem?
We are all aware of Michael Voris. I personally would not listen to him on this subject because he has a huge bias based on his personal experience and it seems to drive everything he does. I prefer someone who is more capable of a balanced view than Voris seems to be.I also recommend listening to Michael Voris (youtube) on this subject.
Yes, but MOST OF THE ABUSE (which hasn’t been mass reported yet) may just be with seminarians being abused.kainosktisis:![]()
Pederasty is not a homosexual problem… it is still rape… albeit statutory rape. These are rapists we are dealing with.He said that in most of the abuse, 3% was with minors. The rest of it was mainly with post pubescent males - pederasty - a homosexual problem.
This sounds unhinged. I’ve not spent a lot of time thinking about gay men in the priesthood since reading Goodbye, Good Men years ago. And I’ve been wondering about the priests I’ve met who pinged my gaydar, priests who do good, and I couldn’t imagine that they are a part of some mafia. Are there corrupt priests who happen to be gay? No doubt about it. But there is no gay mafia in the Catholic priesthood, only in the imaginations of people who can’t conceive of the layers of corruption and the abuse of power because all they are driven to distraction by a sin they are at no risk of committing. How convenient. The reason this is a homosexual issue is because the gay mafia within the Church was involved with covering up pedofilia and statutory rape in order to hide their sex scandals. (NOTE: is was not just the gay mafia involved with the cover-up, but the gay mafia’s reasons were to cover their scandals)
According to secular culture, there are now a multitude of “sexualities” (in an ever-growing list), so almost anything goes now.I favor a bane of homosexuals who have acted out. And closely monitoring all seminarians for sexual behavior.
So any priest who sins against chastity? That would be a very large number. How about just a ban on any priests who have broken any of their vows?
Well in years past, the belief was that they could be cured. Either by rehab or by grace. Sadly that belief is wrong. No Bishop wants a priest who abuses children and none will take the chance with an known offender now.I think the reason that offenders have been sent off for rehabilitation in the past is that, like it or not, these priests are needed.
Offending priest have weakened the church, clearly. The priest shortage is not caused by the Bishop. It is caused by Catholics using artificial contraception IMO. We reap what we sow. Parishes will have to be run by Deacons and masses will be few. Maybe then we will wake up!The idea of “cleaning house” or “zero tolerance” makes sense in theory, but in practice it could weaken the Church greatly through more closed parishes and more souls lost.
The only way that these theories could work is if there were a large influx of vocations to the priesthood in order to compensate for the losses.
