Just wondering if anyone know’s the position of the Church on the Baptism of a child being raised by Same Sex Partners. Our diocese does not have a policy since this has not occured before. Anyone have any thoughts?
the policy is the same for everyone, the pastor must have reasonable assurance that the child will be raised CAtholic, and if there is something in the family situation (unmarried parents whatever) that gives him cause to doubt their commitment to this promise, he may delay (not deny) baptism until such assurance is forthcoming.
