how are they obligated by a being in which does not force us to do anything? it is not wrong from a logical or religious standpoint. simply a arrogant and personal interest one. Regardless of what something says, if something is possible there is no legitimate doctrine that can force it to be wrong lol…
No, actually it is wrong from both a logical and religious standpoint. Logic is part of the design of our bodies and we were made as male and female for a reason. Pope John Paul II gave us what is comonly referred to as The Theology of The Body in his Wednesday general audiences. In this teaching he talks about the physical union of male and female as husband and wife being in the image of the Trinity. Male and female are two but one flesh. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are Three Persons but which are God but there Is only One God. There is meaning in our bodies and there is meaning in our design. To live out your life not per the design is living out a lie and is wrong.

Steve, I am not sure why you think it is important to discuss sodomy when considering same-sex marriage. First of all, less than half of homosexuals engage in sodomy. Second, and more importantly, there is no reason to think that gay marriage would increase the incidence of sodomy. If someone is going to do it, why would they wait until they get married?
Maybe you are right. We should not just single out sodomy. We should also discuss oral sex, mastibation and all forms of contraceptions. These are different fruits from the same vine. A vine of death, not life. Sex and marriage bolong together. I guess it could be possible for two of the same sex to say they are married and never engage in any sexual activity. But the reality is that there is no marriage. A cerimony and recognition from the State does not make someone married. It really is outside the State’s juridiction.

The problem with the State saying two of the same sex are married is that it is an endorsement of same sex sex. As I said marriage and sex should not be separated any more than husband and wife, the two who become one flesh in sex, can be separated. The State can not marry and the State can not divorce. What God has united man can not separate and what God does not unite man can not unite.

pardon my curiosity lol catholics just seem the best structured morally and i believe i will learn alot here… but If a male were given the same organs as a female, would we not be the same? thats what i mean by Logic. It wouldnt matter and thus, SSM (Same-Sex Marriage) cannot be wrong.

(Again i do not like it, but its just part of society)…

Males don’t have a vigina or overies. Male and female sex organs are different and complimentary. The interpersonal design of sex is on a physical, spiritual, emotional and even intellectual level. Sex is meant to be totally self giving down to the egg and sperm. A man can’t give another man an egg. He wasn’t designed for it and he doesn’t have it in him. That doesn’t mean that when a women runs out of eggs she has nothing left to give. She was designed to give eggs and have sex with a man so continued sex after infertility is still within her design. This is logical and it is something you can like.
