It may sound like apathy, but there are probably plenty same-sex partners who truly do love each other. Christ would have no problem with this as long as both are chaste. The seeds of love can spread rapidly in a same-sex marriage.
Nowhere did I mean to imply that I was in favor of gay sex; I’m not. Nor am I necessarily for gay marriage, I’m not. But get real and see that the gay agenda has a powerful force backing it. Same-sex marriage will become an acceptable norm worldwide.

If they actually love each other, they would not damage each other souls by violating God’s law.
And if environmental destruction has powerful forces backing it, and became the norm worldwide, would that mean that it should be embraced by those who love God and care for His Creation? Or pornography?
The same could be said for abortion or ignoring the poor. Since they are accepted should we just say “Let it be” when we see whole nations starving as local warlords steal their food from UN docks?
How do you figure? It seems like a complete oxymoron since: 1) Same sex individuals are physically incapable of marriage and 2) A chaste marriage generally includes sex, which would not be “abounding in virtue” for homosexuals.
Yeah, that’s how many would respond, but I believe we would do better saving individual souls rather than to weep and cry over a change in marriage laws.

Continually living in sin does not bring someone happiness. We should all know this, only by repenting of sin will we have true happiness.
Preaching the Bible includes frowning on homosexual behavior and same-sex marriage is an affirmation of that. Same-sex marriage will not destroy the family, it is the consummation of many previous developments that have placed individual autonomy over the protection of the natural family over the years (divorce laws, contraception, abortion, pornography, etc. etc. etc.). Once something is already mangled beyond recognition it’s no surprise people no longer care to defend it. So, you are right in a way, same-sex marriage will not destroy the family, heterosexuals have already succeeded at doing that. Same-sex marriage is just the icing on the cake (a gay wedding cake perhaps?)
It is not an either or proposition. That’s a false dichotomy. Despite the fact that child murder is legal I do not just weep and cry. I do what I can to change the laws while also trying to support individuals to make the choice to turn away from evil. The same with marriage laws, etc.
Conforming the laws of a nation to the laws of God is actually a GREAT way of bringing about the salvation of souls.

Let me ask you. What does the bible teach about the homosexual lifestyle/marriage? Correct me if I’m wrong but God sent fire and brimstone upon Sodom because of their homosexual sex and lifestyle. Paul says something about how they (active homosexuals) will not inherit the Kingdom in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. They should be loved. We show that love by preventing them to sin not stand by and promote it. If someone wants to kill another do you hand them the gun? Of course not. Whoever causes one of these to sin it’d be better that a millstone be tied around their neck and cast into the sea. In other words we go to hell to. We must preach the true Gospel which is one of love and repentance. Repent and believe in the Gospel EVERY word of it (which I need to work on also).
