I have a friend whose brother is getting married in CA and he thinking of going even though he knows that it is wrong.
Any advise?
Any advise?
He would be lying with his actions. I wouldn’t want my brothers to do that.He should show his support even if support does not exist. It would mean a lot to his brother if he was there. Ironically Yours, Blade and Blood
If he witnesses to it, he’s giving it validation.I have a friend whose brother is getting married in CA and he thinking of going even though he knows that it is wrong.
Any advise?
Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness. He should show his support even if support does not exist. It would mean a lot to his brother if he was there.
Ironically Yours, Blade and Blood
So we should support people in sin?He should show his support even if support does not exist. It would mean a lot to his brother if he was there.
Ironically Yours, Blade and Blood
Well of course it would be judgmental. That’s the whole point. Can you tell me any time that Jesus said we should affirm other peoples sinful lifestyle? This your friends brother! He should go to his brothers wedding! This event obviously means a lot to his brother. To not go, would be extremely judgmental - the opposite of the teachings of Jesus.
This isn’t a matter of affirming people’s values or choices. This is a matter of attending your brother’s wedding. Why put a strain in their family and on their relationship so you can impose your religious views?Well of course it would be judgmental. That’s the whole point. Can you tell me any time that Jesus said we should affirm other peoples sinful lifestyle?
Christian charity demands fraternal correction. This your friends brother! He should go to his brothers wedding! This event obviously means a lot to his brother. To not go, would be extremely judgmental - the opposite of the teachings of Jesus.

Doesn’t this go against Jesus’s teachings?Well of course it would be judgmental. That’s the whole point.
Neither is bigotry.Love is not tolerance
We are to do good and avoid evil.Neither is bigotry.
What your friend should do, is go to his brother’s wedding if he would like his brother to likewise support him.
Matthew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
This is unfortunate, But Jesus wants us to be judgemental. This your friends brother! He should go to his brothers wedding! This event obviously means a lot to his brother. To not go, would be extremely judgmental - the opposite of the teachings of Jesus.
