Fierce opponents have arisen against San Francisco’s Archbishop Cordileone after he officially required that teachers and staff at archdiocesan high schools not publicly go against Church teaching on such matters as adultery, pornography, abortion, and homosexual relations. His opponents then made an issue as well of the fact that a San Francisco pastor has instituted an altar-boy-only policy for Sunday masses. But the article linked below says the situation in this parish is less grim than these opponents have maintained.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Joan Desmond’s reports and I’m all for keeping up with this situation. But this particular article is from five weeks ago. 😃

The alter boy issue is just at one parish that the Archbishop gave to two priests from the Central Valley who wanted to start a new community.

I’m sorry but when I hear stories like this and the one about gay marraige in Ireland, I can’t help but think that there is a great schism on the horizon. But not to be alarmed because the Word of God says that only a remnant will be saved.

Where does the bible say only a remnant will be saved?
