Liccardo’s chief of staff defended the visit as a ‘private event – not public’​

San Jose, Calif., Mayor Sam Liccardo reportedly visited his elderly parents’ Saratoga home for Thanksgiving in apparent disregard of the county’s COVID-19 holiday travel warnings, according to NBC Bay Area.

The mayor’s press team initially told NBC Bay Area that Liccardo was staying home for Thanksgiving but later said a spokesperson “misspoke” and that the mayor spent the holiday with his parents. No other details about the visit are known at this time.

“This is a private event – not public,” Jim Reed, Liccardo’s chief of staff, said in a statement . . .

San Jose’s Democrat Mayor Sam Liccardo failed to take his own advice over Thanksgiving, spending the cherished American holiday with people outside of his immediate household, despite urging residents to “cancel the big gatherings.”

The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit reported that Liccardo broke county health protocols and spent Thanksgiving with “his elderly parents at their Saratoga home with an unknown number of other guests.” . . .

I agree with you Julius_Caesar. When “the rules” are for appropriate reasons and founded on logic.

But another point is there are regular citizens getting their electricity cut off, fined, and arrested for this kind of thing . . . .

. . . But the politicians always “skate”.

And people are sick of the double standard.

Either it is REALLY a danger, or it really ISN’T. At least to most of us who are affected by the unfounded unscientific rules and regulations.

In a few weeks these same guys
are going to be MANDATING you get a vaccine that was produced in some cases in two days, telling you “masking-up”, social distancing, and lockdowns or quarantining HEALTHY people (at least to some extent) just doesn’t get the job done.

All this will be from the same people who for the last almost nine months have reassured you that “masking-up”, social distancing, and lockdowns or quarantining HEALTHY people IS going to “get the job done.”

When do we say “Enough! of the foolishness?”

Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine was designed in just two days​

Covid-19 vaccine maker Moderna designed its vaccine against the novel coronavirus in just two days.

On Jan. 11, Chinese authorities shared the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus, according to Moderna’s website.

Two days later, on Jan. 13, the National Institutes of Health and Moderna’s infectious disease research team finalized the sequence for mRNA-1273, the formal name of the company’s Covid-19 vaccine.

The company then went on to formulate a clinical batch, according to a company spokesperson.

Moderna announced it intends to apply today to the US Food and Drug Administration for authorization of its Covid-19 vaccine. . . .

They will take away at least PART of your ability to exercise common commerce if you refuse.

Think about that for a moment.

All this for a virus that 99.5 % of people do fine with.

This kind of thing is NOT public health.

This was politicized to get him out and I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that JB is the presumptive president.The fraud and deceit is truly overwhelming and frightening. The lust for power and control is diabolical.
