I think the Pope wish us all to be traditionalists! The Pope sees two ways of interpreting the Council: continuity or discontinuity (rupture) with the existing Tradition of the Church. The sanctus bells could be seen as a litmus test: yes, they are now optional (although such a change was never mentioned in S.C.), so the decision to retain them (since they belong to the tradition of the Church and are required in the Extraordinary Form) shows an attachment to the tradition of the Church.

I was mainly teasing you but I was wondering if you attend a TLM as you seem to ask questions that give the impression you really like it or would like to have it that’s another thread I guess.

I don’t think we have progressives on here lol, I’ve been to thier website…wow, they go too far the other way
