I am a 46 year old grandmother of 3 and I BELIEVE in Santa Claus. No, not the whited bearded man living at the North Pole, but I DO believe in what Santa represents to the world (or should represent)
A man who gives without taking…
A man who loves All children, not just a select few
A man who teaches us how to share
A man who teaches us that its important to put others first
Santa Claus should represent the Good in All men, and he does not nor should he be allowed to take anything away from Jesus. In fact, who is to say that God does not use the concept of Santa to teach all His children the greatest Commandment to Love Thy Neighbor?

The secular world may put Santa Claus on a level above Jesus, but we Christian parents don’t. Santa, and this is how I approach this with my granddaughters, teaches the many ways in which Jesus loves us and how we are to love others.👍

Even Santa Worships the Little Baby born in the Manger in Bethlehem.👍

For my family, its quite simple. We always say, yes there is a Santa Clause. We then proceed to tell the story of St. Nicholas, who really did exist and was responsible for a miracle or two. Part of our christmas tradition is to relate the story of St. Nicholas. The whole Santa and the reindeer and all the lore that followed was the result of a Coke commercial back in the early 1900’s or maybe even sooner than that, and the poem, A visit from st. Nick or otherwise known as “The Night Before Christmas.” If we truly believe in communion of saints, Santa or St. Nick can still pray for us and help us on our way just as any other saint. Its amazing how legends and stories can be embellished over the years. I think its pretty harmless. I again always say that there is a little of Santa in all of us so therefore he really does exist.

Teach the children about the real ST Nick. The Church should officially condemm the fake Santa Claus that is a commercialized winter god and a blasphemy to the memory of the real St Nick.
