Sara's Law (California ballot intiative:similar to Parental Notification)

I just signed the petition yesterday at our parish to put Sara’s law on the ballot. I heard that this law has been refined (I’m not sure how). The petition signing is being sponsored by our Culture of Life ministry and our Faith-based Organizing committee.
 
A similar law failed to pass last year here in Oregon, unfortunately. That was because those opposed to it blatently lied (not just misrepresented the law, but actually lied about it) in all their ads. My uncle, who is a lawyer and on the Oregon Right to Life Board, gave a presentation to the editors of the Oregonian newspaper about all the legal aspects of the law. And guess what they did? Completely disregarded everything he said and printed lies instead.

I pray that California will have better luck than we did.
