I was just using your words and made a statement about the pre-Jesus days and Mary. I don’t see where there is any Catholic teaching there.Please do not quote my words as official Catholic teaching unless I give you a reference. When I say “pre-Jesus days” I just mean the time before the PROCESS of bringing Jesus into the world.
First of all, I did NOT say that “Eve did’nt feel pain when she had her children”. You are saying that !!! What I am saying is that Eve would not have felt pain in her original state, if she had not committed original sin… That is the Catholic position, if you need a reference, I’ll gladly get it upon your request.
I am now second guessing however whether or not MARY felt the pains of childbirth. I myself thought she did, but another source on the internet says she did not.

It is not a matter of contamination. Perhaps the reason God made Mary sinless, was so that she would be more compatible with Jesus? Maybe so she could raise him properly, in a sin-free environment? Maybe so he could live within the woumb? Catholic teaching does not attempt to go into the reasoning of God… I dont either, I only show possibilities. I am just shedding light -not claiming to know the answers.
But I do agree with Catholic teaching.
Now changing the wording don’t change anything it still means the same, pre-Jesus days or process before Jesus. I’m not going to comment on the reference thing.
The Eve thing, I may have misunderstood what you said, sorry.

:irish2:My son is the QB for his school and he is trying very hard to one day go to ND and play football for them. He is a straight “A” student and has been commended several times from the school here. He takes honor classed. He knows he needs to have the best grades he can inorder to be accepted or even considered.

I think you are obnoxious because of the confrontational and disrespectful way you speak(type) to others.
I do not know anyone in real life, that is so disrespecting of another’s beliefs. I know several reverands, pastors, etc. and they are all men of God. Now, they may feel the way you do, but they are gentlemen enough not to be disrespectful to my face.

Yes, but Jesus did not say, “Keep what you need to survive” did He, now? In fact He only said, “Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” How does that imply “Keep what you need to survive”? This is what I’m talking about Kevin. Scripture may be applied to our lives and speak to us, but it doesn’t always translate the way we think it should. You say, “hey it doesn’t say anywhere that Mary was immaculately conceived.” It doesn’t, to you.

Well I don’t sugar coat things like some do. I guess you haven’t read most of the post on this and other sites. There is disrespect all over. Catholics and Protestants calling each other ignorant. Comprehenion defficiency, lack of common sence, and personal attacks. You say I’m disrespectful to others beliefs. What a joke. The Catholics here and on other sites disrespect our beliefs all the time. We non-Catholics get ganged up on by Catholics and are called everything but human. Give me a example of my disrespect to the Catholic religion. Respect get respect. If I get none then they get the same back. Thats the way I am. Just because I’m Reverend doesn’t make me not human and with human emotions.
Now I’m me and not the other Reverends, Pastors, etc. so don’t compare me to others.
Like I said, look at all the posts and you will see that I’m correct. As a matter of fact I said that I have respect of the Catholic faith, the priests, the nuns, so research before you call someone names. Look at the whole picture.

Sell all you possessions and give the money to the poor. Look at the wording. Sell all your possessions and give the money {from selling your possessions} to the poor. It don’t say sell all your possessions and give all your money to the poor.

I’ve come up with a hypothesis on why protestants do not feel the way we catholics do about Mary…
-I think that since we believe in and frequently recieve Holy Communion with Jesus through the Eucharist, that we are actually closer to Jesus. Since Jesus lives within us, we feel the same compassion about the Virgin Mother that Jesus has. Mary really IS our mother since Jesus lives in us…
In the same way, protestants cant pray to Mary for her intercession, because prayer is their only link to Jesus. We Catholics have such strong physical ties to Jesus due to the consumption of his body and blood, (and the fact that He is the Head of the Body that is the Church) that we dont feel the “loss” that protestants do or any sort of “betrayal” of Jesus when we include Mary in our prayers.
Jesus is always with us !

This is a non-Catholic site in the Catholic answere forum. Now have you looked under
Important forum information under non-Catholic it says:
“explore the history and beliefs of non-Catholic and non-Christian
faith, dialogue and adherents.”
Now if you are a guest at your neighbor house and he/she starts to belittle you, tells your religious beliefs are not real because you are not a Catholic, make fun of your religion.
Have they disrespected you?

I asked you to show me where I disrespected the Catholic religion. You have not provided any to back your alligations. Do you think you can do that instead of accusing me without proof of your alligations against me?

As a matter of fact, I did read most of the thread you directed me to. From what I read, it seemed to be a very respectful discussion. NO one was called a vulture or any other name.
I am not sure if it was in this thread, or another to which you had posted, but it is now removed.(and for good reason, too).
But when I read it I thought to myself "there is no way this man is a “rev”.
If I were a guest in someone’s house and they disrespected my religion, I would leave.
That’s why I do not go to non-Catholic sites to discuss religion.
I may go there to read and figure out exactly what they believe, but I certainly would never go there and tell them they are wrong.
And insinuating that Christ was not chaste is an insult to not only Catholics, but should be an insult to all Christianity.
