I have OCD and depression. How does one differentiate between symptoms of
mental illness and being taunted by the devil? Ive been watching Joyce Meyer every night and she mentions Satan a lot; she blames him for most problems people face.
Also, does Satan use a persons mental illness to provoke him/her by
making their OCD or depression symptoms act up?
 
It is not satan who causes mental illness any more than cancer. It is our free will that decides whether or not we take the treatment.

Such issues need to be taken up with Mental Health professionals and priests.
