Satan father of cain?

I was watching an interview with Glenn Danzig a punk singer who formed the misfits but anyway the one thing that stood out for me is this small portion of what he said on the bible:

never heard of this before and I started to look it up on google anyone know more about it?
 
Not true. This is not found in deuterocanonical scripture. If he is referring to what we call the “apocrypha”, that is not a “bible” but a set of texts that were rejected by the early Church for not being divinely inspired (e.g. Book of Enoch). Either way, I haven’t heard of the claim Satan fathered Cain.
 
I have never heard of “an original bible” before the Jewish Bible. Our Bible that Cain and Able were sons of Adam and Eve.
 
Glenn Danzig is not an authority on Scripture or its origins. Frankly, I wouldn’t believe a word that he says about the subject.

I’m a fan of heavy metal and he has some catchy songs, but he is one of the few figures from metal that genuinely unsettles me. :o
 
Well, in a sense, Cain was of the seed of the serpent, as Abel was of the seed of the women (Gen. 3:15). Compare John 8:44 and 1 John 3:12. The rest of it is nonsense.
 
It’s false. It’s from a couple of texts that didn’t find their way in scripture. Forbidden books. Remember the Bible was put together by the Church. So there are some books that are not inspired so that’s why they didn’t make their way in.

If you want to know more there is a interesting documentary from the History Channel called “Banned from the Bible”. I think someone put it up on YouTube.

If you look at that link and scroll down you’ll see where it comes from Andrew Murray teaches it as the Serpent Seed doctrine. It’s whacked… :rolleyes:

His teachings are badly twisted stuff. Steer clear.
 
This so-called seed doctrine is the result of pro-slave owners of the south back in US history.
 
thanks everyone I never heard of the seed doctrine before. guess then its a false doctrine and John 8:44 has nothing to do with cain being son of satan or that eve had 2 sons one from satan and one from adam etc. So is the original sin always been adam and eve eating the forbidden fruit which wasn’t sex with the serpent or “satan”

When it comes to religion, especially Christianity, History Channel is terrible and should be avoided. The Channel is biased against Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular.
 
He pulls it all out of the fall context in Genesis and then the murder of able by Caine. It’s so twisted as to be stunning. None of it fits together except in old man Murray’s head. :whacky:
It would be especially sad if he didn’t deceive people with it.
