I found an article online that describes Rosaries made by Satanists with a curse put on them. I was shocked by it. I looked through my Rosaries and found one! that meets the description in the article for a satanic rosary!! This is such a scary article. What should I do with my Rosary? Lots of people in the comments section said it a ploy by Satan to get people to throw away their Rosaries. I’m confused. Should I throw my Rosary away? Any thoughts on this? Thank You!!! 🙂

Where did you get this rosary?

First off, if you have an infested object, the last thing the demonic occupants are going to want is to hear someone actually pray Our Lady’s’ rosary on it. From what I gather, these things are ritual aping, like the Black Mass. The Evil One isn’t trying to get more people to pray the Most Holy Rosary.

If it does not help you pray, dispose of it and use a different rosary. Show it to your pastor, and he can help you decide if it out to be disposed of as a sacramental or as a profane object.

Sounds like an urban legend. Even so, it is a good and holy thing to have Father bless sacramentals.

I honestly don’t know. I’ve had it for so long I just don’t remember. I just feel too scared to pray it.
Then dispose of it. Ask a priest if it has any symbols that preclude it being disposed of as a sacramental. If it doesn’t, then assume it is blessed, even if only by having been used to pray the rosary, and dispose of in the proper way for a rosary. Don’t wear yourself out over a rosary that gives you the creeps, though. A rosary should help you to focus, not put disquiet into you. If even the art of it is disquieting, retire it. Your pastor will guide you; trust him and you’ll do well. Our Lord will count your obedience and desire to be reverent as merit, even if the priest unknowingly fails to give the advice most fitting for the actual situation (which he can only guess at).

No, actually, there are some who make satanic rosaries just like they have Black Masses, out of hatred for the true faith (for whatever reason they have that). They ape and try to profane true worship and if they could disrupt it or put disquiet or fear into the faithful, they’d do it.

Good advice, thanks!!! I threw it in the trash can, although I’m not sure if that’s the best way to get rid of it.

No, that’s not the way to dispose of rosaries. Ask your priest. Even a satanic rosary probably ought to be destroyed beyond recognition before disposing of the pieces. It should be rendered unrecognizable, either way.

We have had several threads on this silliness already. The Filipino priest is mistaken (that’s putting it kindly), there is nothing wrong with these cheap plastic rosaries. I have been using one myself part of the time for about 2 years. I was given it by a religious sister who handed out glow-in-the-dark rosaries to my whole prayer group and also they are given away at several churches I frequent. I keep it in my car to use when I want to pray and have forgotten to bring my regular rosary. It gets used a couple times a week, most recently this afternoon.

Please don’t spread this hype and overreaction any further. If you are concerned about your rosary you can always have a priest bless it and no more problem.

If you do not want the rosary any more then you can burn it, bury it, or give it to your priest.

Once again, these plastic things are not “satanic rosaries”. I realize you probably didn’t mean to encourage the thought that they are, but I just want to make that clear.

I can tell you exactly what my priest would say - he would chuckle (does that a lot when I tell him the latest out-of-the-box thing I’ve got worried about ) and tell me not to worry about it. The potential danger here is not the object itself, but the fear and superstition you are allowing to develop in your heart. Don’t pay it any mind - give it into church at your presbytery and don’t forget you don’t need beads for the rosary you can try a virtual one. It’s the prayers that count not the beads

Okay, thanks. I’ll ask my priest about it. 🙂
If you are concerned just get it blessed, I wear one of these shaped Rosaries and have a few more around the place. They are given away as blessed rosaries throughout many parishes.

I am going to propose that this urban legend is the work of the diabolical that doesnt want us to have blessed Rosaries or pray the Rosary. Makes more sense to me.

it is also a bit of a stretch to draw that kind of shape out of anything. Why not count the rest of the lines described in these Rosaries rather then drawing an arbitrary line and declaring a certain shape.

Fear is spread through rumor and innuendo as well. A figure of any type that may appear to have 5 sides does not a satanic pentagram make. You can make a “pentagram” with your hands.

I’m certain that somewhere, sometime, this possibly occurred. This concern appears to be centered in the Philippines. Why? Anyone’s guess. I think that prudence dictates that we do some research.

But, where are the manufacturing plant(s) that churn out these thousands of Rosaries? How do they dupe christian sellers into buying and re-selling them?

OK, let’s set aside any devilish influence for one moment.

Who wants rosaries NOT to be prayed? Who wants to call the Rosary into question? He is certainly satanic.

Never mind the Lord. Does no one remember that our Lady is stronger than the evil one? She is Queen of Angels (spirits) and Saints (humans). She is the cause of the weakening of demons during exorcisms. Her name!

Still sounds like an urban legend. The internet only makes it spread worse than the corona virus.
