I read that article in the paper this morning. It looks like he wants keep his kids away from Christian churches.

Why is that news though? It seems like the Trib is becoming a tabloid for this stuff. I feel sorry for this man’s children for sure.
Faith is caught…not taught. So I side with the mother on this issue.

“Satanism” started as a reaction against Christianity, specifically Catholicism. Why do you think they have a “Black MASS”, and invert a CRUCIFIX?

Its such nonsense anyway…and the mother is right to not want her daughters around him. Don’t Satanists believe that anything goes, esp. if its evil? How does she know he won’t molest his daughters?

From what I know of Satanists, it is not so much anything goes as anything in exchange for what was done to me. To that end, it is more than an eye for an eye. It is not turn the other cheek at all. I doubt that he would be any more likely to molest the girls than the average UNLESS he saw it as a way to repay the “evil” his wife has done to him.

Now there is an issue with moral codes. They tend to be very hedonistic.

OK, I get it then!

(BTW “eye for an eye” in Judaism does not mean revenge. It means the repayment of *the value of *an eye, hand, etc.)

Sadly though, unless this mother can prove that Satanism (by secular legal standards) is dangerous to the daughters, she may very well loose in the courtroom.

But according to the article, his daughter from his first marriage wants nothing to do with him, and he has even verbally assulted her Christian beliefs, maybe this can be entered into court evidence against this man.

What ever happens, the children need prayers

I noticed several things in this article that really make me doubt this guy sincerity about his kids.
  1. He has ridiculed one of his own kids because of what she believes to the point she wants nothing to do with him.
  2. He owes back child support but says “My children are my legacy,” said Meyer, 30, a factory worker. “It is because of them that I am still here today. I will always fight for my rights as a father.”
How can his children be so important to them if he refuses to pay the child support owed or even goes so far as to alienate his own child for her beliefs? I know it’s none of my business but I would be really interested to know just how well he has kept up with his visitations with them. Honestly, I think these are the bigger issues that need to be addressed here. The religious issue is nothing more than a smoke screen.

You klnow that would be a good topic for another thread. If I am not mistaken, the verse in question is near the ones saying if you damage a man’s ox, you owe him an ox.

Muslims and satanists call it revenge and justice. I say it leads to blind people who only eat mashed potatos.
