Satanists conduct "Black Masses." Do they also conduct "Black Bible study services"??

It seems to me that you are to Satanism what Protestantism to Christianity: sincere, but just not quite there. You blame God for “emotions” for His children that you yourself have for your daughter. How would you feel if your daughter gave you the cold shoulder, for no apparant reason, and did everything she could to get everyone to hate you? Don’t say you wouldn’t care because if you truly love your daughter, it would hurt you. Let’s say you confront her on it: “Sweetie, why do you hate me so bad? I’ve done nothing but love you since the day you were born. I do my best to give you everything that you need and want, I’d walk through fire for you…why do you hate me.” And she responds
“You’re a ___________. Don’t ask me why Mom, I just hate you. Your love for me makes me sick, and I’m going to do everything I can to make everyone around me hate you.” This is under the assumption that she’s an adult. Honestly, how would you feel? How would you feel if a good friend of yours had a child who did that? I’m not trying to be rude, just putting it in perspective.

Actually I feel exactly the opposite. I feel that the ‘satanists’ you see in the news; the people who murder, are destructive to private property or use their belief as a reason to just act stupid - are what Protestantism is to Christianity.

The common theme I’m gathering from speaking to you all, is that you view satanists as completely chaotic in their thinking and reasoning.

So here is an example. This is completely hypothetical and I’m just trying to convey why I don’t do the stupid things I’ve mentioned above:

Lets say I kill someone. And just for kicks, this person is free of sin at that moment and has no family/friends. Now in what way does that serve the devil? What does that get him? Person goes to heaven. I’m already in a state of sin.

I don’t make assumptions that people are in a state of sin, or that it would be so devastating to a member of a family that it might send them spiraling for life.

So instead I prefer to just lead them down the road that would be most suited for them. Get you comfortable with ‘life’. Don’t really need people thinking outside of the box.

I don’t know, guess I don’t think a good satanist should be seen or heard. (Guess I’m breaking my own rule at the moment!)
How would you feel if your daughter gave you the cold shoulder, for no apparant reason, and did everything she could to get everyone to hate you?
Well I would either feel as you describe, or tell her to take a hike. But I suppose I won’t know the answer to that until she’s a teenager.

I understand your example Latinmass, but I don’t draw a parallel between how I feel about my daughter, and how I feel about God. They are, in my mind, completely different situations.

Hey Imryl

me peeking back in:rolleyes:

Just a quick comment on children, if one wants to understand a relationship with God a good way is to think of a parent child relationship. If God is the Father and I am His child. Its a understanding towards Gods nature.

But back to the catalyst thing, yea after not believing anything rather being on the skeptic side of life I think I can relate to your not knowing why. I myself “dont go with things, understand or get them” until the catalyst a moment when all the threads tie together.

I remember my skeptic side challenging me and thinking yea why do you like God, why bother. Which lead me to understand God.

If Im following you right, you have the same question, just that it isnt God its satan, Do you know why you want to deal with him? why bother.

Unless your not skeptical? myself Im willing to let God have a mystery, but not without good reason, which He gives me.

How is it with you?

🙂

Yes I was posting a serious question, but you’ve helped to effectively derail the topic.
You haven’t really clarified what you were asking, a few people… including me, have asked you about it.

Kitty - I’ll answer next time I get the chance to devote some thought to it

Actually I feel exactly the opposite. I feel that the ‘satanists’ you see in the news; the people who murder, are destructive to private property or use their belief as a reason to just act stupid - are what Protestantism is to Christianity.
Are you saying Protestants act stupid, are destructive and murder?
The common theme I’m gathering from speaking to you all, is that you view satanists as completely chaotic in their thinking and reasoning.
That’s what you’ve demonstrated -you said it’s about individuals. If everyone measures it out for themselves as to what constitutes Satanism, then it is chaotic.
So here is an example. This is completely hypothetical and I’m just trying to convey why I don’t do the stupid things I’ve mentioned above:

Lets say I kill someone. And just for kicks, this person is free of sin at that moment and has no family/friends. Now in what way does that serve the devil?
Because it harms you and keeps you in a state of sin.
What does that get him? Person goes to heaven. I’m already in a state of sin.
That’s like saying “I’m already high on drugs, why not have more drugs”
I don’t make assumptions that people are in a state of sin, or that it would be so devastating to a member of a family that it might send them spiraling for life.
Then how would you know when to murder them?

Yes I was posting a serious question, but you’ve helped to effectively derail the topic.
Well, I was the first to answer you and I question your serious question and its intentions. If you look at the wording of the original question, it seems baited and only going to be a inflammatory topic, another beating of protestants.

I guess even satanists dont take protestatism serious, because they wont mock it.

Then someone steps up and says your question is not exactly accurate from another prespective and that is all satanists are not the same so dont judge them that way.

We are speaking of satanism and God. Oh or is it we are not speaking of how badly the protestants are because satanists know they are not a threat??

I ask you again as in post #2

What good will come out of such a discussion? Any unity? understanding?

If the topic is bothering you, then we will start another thread or go private 🙂

Are you saying Protestants act stupid, are destructive and murder?
Nope, you read the comment wrong.
That’s what you’ve demonstrated -you said it’s about individuals. If everyone measures it out for themselves as to what constitutes Satanism, then it is chaotic.
Not in my opinion.
Because it harms you and keeps you in a state of sin.
That is true, but being a satanist I’m already in a state of sin.
Then how would you know when to murder them?
Reminding you that this is just a hypothetical scenario: The point is I wouldn’t know. So why kill them?

{Kitty}: Sorry, got swamped so might be a little bit to answer that question. Besides, might be time to move private. 😉

QUOTE]

I really don’t believe that anybody here thinks satanists, true satanists, are chaotic in their thinking, reasoning, or actions. They’re very professional actually. Similar to how some gangs work…I happen to have a family member that is one step short of the mafia–covering up is necessary, and not easy if you really don’t want to get caught. A true satanist, like a real gang member (by “real” I mean not somebody who’s in it for show or to look tough, the "sissy-gangs) doesn’t fess up to illegal activity, and if you did (sell drugs, molest children, kill, etc) you wouldn’t be stupid enough to admit to it, as finding out who and where you are wouldn’t be difficult. I know that true satanists are very calculating and just don’t get caught, with the help of their master the devil. The actions you do, or don’t do, determine your confidence level in the one you worship. If what you claim to do is in fact all you do, I refer to my earlier comparison, it’s just watered-down satanism, but I suppose in his eyes it’s better than nothing.

Well, Satan was inspiration behind Protestantism…why would he attack it?
sigh

and what did I tell lepanto???

this thread didnt start out with divine inspiration.

and you are now supporting it.

my heart breaks. . . 😦

😦 It’s not lepanto I’m supporting, it’s the truth. I’m sorry you don’t see it in that light but that’s just the way it is.

But back to the catalyst thing, yea after not believing anything rather being on the skeptic side of life I think I can relate to your not knowing why. I myself “dont go with things, understand or get them” until the catalyst a moment when all the threads tie together.
I tend to go with things I know, or understand. I don’t make drastic changes in my life or perceptions. At least you sorta have it right. In my opinion.
Do you know why you want to deal with him? why bother.
That I do know. Because I enjoy it, dear. We’re all addicted to something.
Unless your not skeptical? myself Im willing to let God have a mystery, but not without good reason, which He gives me.
Could you let me know what you mean by skeptical?

you wouldn’t be stupid enough to admit to it, as finding out who and where you are wouldn’t be difficult.
I think that is true about anyone.
The actions you do, or don’t do, determine your confidence level in the one you worship.
Does that apply to you as well? Do you live up to god’s expectations? If not, do you at least live up to your own expectations? Do you set reasonable goals, or do you pick things you know you could achieve without much effort on your own behalf?

Complacency and denial do more damage then I ever could.
Well, Satan was inspiration behind Protestantism…why would he attack it?
I wouldn’t go hedging my bets on that. Perhaps you mean behind the split itself? Take a look at what you’re saying, that’s not very charitable. There are ways of saying things that wouldn’t be construed as an outright insult.

Some people use the excuse that they’re just ‘speaking the truth’ as if that exonerates them from considering the thoughts and feelings of others. But there are a dozen ways to approach the truth without offending an entire denomination.

I tend to lack tact myself in most cases, so I’m not pointing a finger. Just sharing my experience.

Actually my goals for myself tend to be too high, I’m very much a perfectionist, and I do my best to live up to them.

Yes, I did mean that Satan inspired the split, but he also wants to keep people away from what Jesus Christ established, which is His Church. He encourages people to stay in it as zealous liberals, to leave, to keep from joining, to keep others from joining. You youself said that you don’t really have to get people to “hate” God, per se, but to be indifferent towards him (I think you said it anyway, maybe I’m mixing posts:o )

Charity is called for, but many times Christians are too nice, putting truth on the back burner. St. Paul says “Am I become your enemy because I tell you the truth?” Same thing applies in many circumstances. People make Jesus out to be some happy-go-lucky butt-kisser who never said a word against anybody. The fact is, He was Jewish, and with the Jews He was very firm, and sometimes, “rude” as some would say. His manner was much gentler with the Gentiles, as they didn’t know any better. If the denomination taught the teachings of Jesus then nobody would be taking offense, as my comment wouldn’t be applying to them.

We have a lot in common. 😉

Actually it’s a bit easier to deal with christians then it is to deal with atheists. I’ve on occasion had the unfortunate result of getting someone into christianity, but like I said it does make it easier. Christians (whether Catholic or Protestant I might add) know what is right or wrong and just ignore the issue, where Atheists or other religions sometimes tend to have distorted perceptions.

So really depends on the situation.
You youself said that you don’t really have to get people to “hate” God, per se, but to be indifferent towards him (I think you said it anyway, maybe I’m mixing posts:o )
This is true.

This is also true, but my comment wasn’t about that. It was simply stating that there are ways of saying things that both relay their importance and do so without inciting anger or misunderstandings.

Then again some people just can’t be reasoned with. 😃

Imryl

sorta like telling them where to go and them enjoying the trip

Pardon? Sorry I don’t quite understand this comment.

And you didn’t answer my question, since I was a little foggy on what you were asking. What do you mean skeptical?

Skeptical, just because someone says it, doesnt mean I believe it. If I see something that looks one way, I want to see it from another to see what it looks like then. Magic works alot that way.

There is always another half of it, we may know that half, and sometimes we dont.

And for those we dont, Id like an answer, and sometimes no is a answer.

clear as mud ?

🙂
