Satanists conduct "Black Masses." Do they also conduct "Black Bible study services"??

Nope, you read the comment wrong.
This is what you said

Murderers are to Satanists… as Protestants are to Catholics
Not in my opinion.
Confirming the chaotic nature of the faith - given any opinion can be valid
That is true, but being a satanist I’m already in a state of sin.
And staying there keeps you in harm. That’s the point. You won’t get better.
Reminding you that this is just a hypothetical scenario: The point is I wouldn’t know. So why kill them?
Why should you? You shouldn’t. It’s keeping you from God

This is what you said. Murderers are to Satanists… as Protestants are to Catholics
Actually this is what I said. (Didn’t even mention Catholics)
Actually I feel exactly the opposite. I feel that the ‘satanists’ you see in the news; the people who murder, are destructive to private property or use their belief as a reason to just act stupid - are what Protestantism is to Christianity.
Meaning some satanists don’t really get the whole picture. You should be able to gather what I’m implying.

I don’t intend on getting in an e-argument with you. For as long as I’ve come to this board I’ve watched you try to bait people so this is the last time I’ll address this comment.

Sounds a lot to me like Christianity. Many Christians believe abortion, divorce and a slew of other things are all right. A lot of them are just outright wrong… But you won’t be convincing them anytime soon. They pick and choose what they believe.

True
Why should you? You shouldn’t. It’s keeping you from God
I do that well enough without killing people.

Actually this is what I said. (Didn’t even mention Catholics)
My apologies, yes you said Christianity, not Catholics, but you were comparing Murderers to Protestants, in relation to, respectively Satnism and CHRISTIANITY
Meaning some satanists don’t really get the whole picture. You should be able to gather what I’m implying.
I can’t help it if you poorly express yourself. Even now you give an odd account. So, Copts, Orthodox, Nestorians, Catholics, etc (but not Protestants) have the ‘full picture’ 🤷
I don’t intend on getting in an e-argument with you. For as long as I’ve come to this board I’ve watched you try to bait people so this is the last time I’ll address this comment.
Fine. If you have problems discussing things, that’s up to you. We’ve never discussed anything in the past so it seems odd that you ‘observed’ something you thought was wrong but said nothing.
Sounds a lot to me like Christianity. Many Christians believe abortion, divorce and a slew of other things are all right.
Indeed. But we can look to what Christ taught and measure their claims of truth against what he taught - with you guys, who knows. You don’t really have a formula, it’s therefore chaotic which is what I suggested before and you said otherwise, even though you continue to prove my point.
A lot of them are just outright wrong… But you won’t be convincing them anytime soon. They pick and choose what they believe.
This part is true. It in no way negates that Christianity teaches certain things

You see I’ve been speaking to LatinMass about this particular subject.
As a Satanist, I’d do my best at being bad not only to please him but for the personal satisfaction that conquoring others would bring. The damage that could be done, mwahahhaha…if I weren’t Catholic.
It seems to me that you are to Satanism what Protestantism to Christianity: sincere, but just not quite there.
Actually I feel exactly the opposite. I feel that the ‘satanists’ you see in the news; the people who murder, are destructive to private property or use their belief as a reason to just act stupid - are what Protestantism is to Christianity.
The actions you do, or don’t do, determine your confidence level in the one you worship. If what you claim to do is in fact all you do, I refer to my earlier comparison, it’s just watered-down satanism, but I suppose in his eyes it’s better than nothing.
I was addressing LatinMass’s implication that I was sincere but not quite there. He/she made this claim because I won’t go out and cause havoc; steal, rape, murder, destroy property. That this fact somehow implies I am lacking in devotion to the Devil. His/her perception is that is what I should be doing.

I countered that this was untrue - It’s the other way around. Those people are to Satanism what Protestants are to Christianity. Sincere, but not quite there.
Even now you give an odd account. So, Copts, Orthodox, Nestorians, Catholics, etc (but not Protestants) have the ‘full picture’ 🤷
I’m not giving any odd accounts. You’re putting words in my mouth again. I was speaking to a Catholic so my response was tailored in such away that LatinMass could relate.

There are an infinite number of scenarios and I am not going to even try to qualify every single one. Especially for someone who tends to have a persecution complex. I can’t help that you lack critical reading skills. Next time, try to consider the two people having the conversation before you interrupt with your accusations and assumptions. At the very least ask nicely for the person to clarify. (Don’t understand what I’m talking about? Read the quote directly above this part of my text.)

No one has the ‘full picture’ by the way. Or the ‘full truth’ as they may claim. The finite cannot contain the infinite. But some can be ‘closer’ then the others.
Fine. If you have problems discussing things, that’s up to you. We’ve never discussed anything in the past so it seems odd that you ‘observed’ something you thought was wrong but said nothing.
It isn’t that I have a problem discussing things. It’s that I try not to get involved in e-arguments. There are people who just want someone to be a little clearer about their beliefs, or maybe they want to understand why the other person believes what they do. Then, there are others who just nit-pick at everything a person says or have a ‘tone’ in their responses that is disrespectful.

Why don’t I say something? Because arguing over the internet is pointless. We could be arguing the same exact point and not know it. Intention and tone can be difficult to discern over the internet.

I hope that helps. Now to the part of the response that matters……
Indeed. But we can look to what Christ taught and measure their claims of truth against what he taught - with you guys, who knows. You don’t really have a formula, it’s therefore chaotic which is what I suggested before and you said otherwise, even though you continue to prove my point.
Since you defined it in that sense. We do have a formula. Ever read the Bible? That is where the formula comes from. The bible can be read in an entirely different light depending on your disposition. But I haven’t read it in 15 years, so I’m likely a bit rusty.
This part is true. It in no way negates that Christianity teaches certain things
True.

I said; sorta like telling them where to go and them enjoying the trip
Well yes I gathered that, but which part.
Some people use the excuse that they’re just ‘speaking the truth’ as if that exonerates them from considering the thoughts and feelings of others. But there are a dozen ways to approach the truth without offending an entire denomination.

I tend to lack tact myself in most cases, so I’m not pointing a finger. Just sharing my experience.
This part, but I could be reading it wrong, I guess theres several ways to take it like you said.🤷

I was thinking more of the lack of tact comment. Which btw I dont believe about you.

😦 It’s not lepanto I’m supporting, it’s the truth. I’m sorry you don’t see it in that light but that’s just the way it is.
Well so we are clear, which seems to be a problem here, I told lepanto that such a topic is in bad form and will only lead to bad feelings, and bad feelings are not in the interest of the Almighty.

Or try mom said if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. 🤷

Your comment about protestants being led by satan because he started the split is just as bad as the lead comment in the op.

As for this split it has been admitted that things had to change and things did and for the better. Making the Catholic church stronger.

Many churches is only a problem if one doesnt recognize that protestants are not believers in Christ. If one considers them fellow brothers and sisters in Christ then its not this awful thing that is supposed. btw the Catholic church does recognize it.

And if you look at it that way, even if satan did cause the split, God was on top of it and what satan tried to split he accomplished nothing.

In fact there are those who never would have been reached by the Catholic church and are being reached by others. Its a team effort here, its not us and them.

🙂

You might be right if life had an Edit button. Or if I could pause a conversation, think it over for a little bit and then answer. Alas - this is not the case. I regularly speak without thinking. 😦

Hi, I am new to this site and happened upon this post.

I realize the discussion has gone on for awhile already. But I was drawn to it because I just broke up with my boyfriend, who is a magister templi in the Satanic church. (Please note I am Christian myself and I never was involved in Satanism.) Dealing with him is actually how I went from being into the occult to becoming a Christian. I wish I got a good foundation in Christ much sooner.

I can only share my experience with the Satanists through him, he was/is pretty high up. I was with him for 17 years of my life and had no idea just how far into this he is. I didn’t even know he was “Satanic” until recently. It is a secretive group and he did not share details.

Initially it seemed like his group was just into a hedonistic lifestyle and does not believe in an actual entity called “Satan”–as you see some people telling you. He clearly did believe in God, but chose to reject Him and all that Christianity stands for. Satan represented the force of nature. So the typical info anyone can find doing some research.
I know he does Black Masses and other rituals with purposes I am unfamiliar with, that use a sword. I saw some and at the end, I was forced to participate or get myself out there asap. He was really into Enochian Magick also, which was supposedly taught by some fallen angels.

Since I was into the occult at that time myself, I did not think much of him being a “ceremonial magickian.” My problem with his activities, when I discovered all that was really going on was this. The use of black magick harming people, engaging in frequent magickal wars with others, having all these “enemies,” using demons and dark spirits–just some really disgusting stuff here. Misusing things like astrology to assess someone’s weaknesses, etc.

It became very clear to me why these activities are prohibited in the Bible: because people misuse them. People are sinners and given access to occult information, you will always have a percentage that use it at best for selfish gain, and at worst, to harm others with. And I saw him go after people.

The way I found out my “ceremonial magickian” boyfriend was in fact the magister templi of a Satanic group was when someone he attacked decided to attack me (to anger him.) There is absolutely no concept of morality here.

When I dumped him, he and his group members tried to do all this stuff against me, binding spells, sicking dark spirits on me, etc. God and His angels helped me fight him off. He ended up losing his job, sick in the hospital, and in major legal trouble.

I learned that he does indeed believe in a dark entity we would call “Satan”-and even if someone like this says they do not believe in a literal Satan–they do communicate with dark spirits and they do choose to use that term.

Getting mixed up in the occult, even if you are pure with good intentions, is a slippery slope. I have a beautiful relationship with God now.

If I see something that looks one way, I want to see it from another to see what it looks like then. Magic works alot that way.
Time for you to to elaborate now.

.
Now, I have a moment thought Id go back to this.

Elaborate? ok lets see, if this is what you were asking, Im sorta guessing here.

Magic works on things are not what they seem. Take David Blaine, Im hoping youve seen his levitation on the street. Looks very good, only him and he hovers while standing just above the pavement in the middle of the sidewalk.

This is one way to see him.

Now, if you were to go around to the opposite side of David when he hovers again. And it will be plain, its no big deal, all is revealed. (Dont know if I should post how, the mans gotta make a living, but its beyond simple)

that is the other side.

With one side I only see David the showman magician. With the other side I see the skill and craftsmanship that went into the performance.

Is this any clearer or what you were asking ?

🙂

Hey welcome to the boards!

Yours is a good post. I am happy you have a relationship with Jesus now. You said 17 yrs wow, how long ago did you break up, I mean have you been a christian long?

I bet you can listen to Amazing Grace and find alot more meaning in that song now. I always liked the part my eyes were blind and now they see.

Wow, God bless you, you have truly come home to God.
How much better does it feel to love God and worship him? Words cant really describe it, but the feeling you get inside from God is just the best!
Thank you for sharing your story, i pray Imryl will take a page out of your book and find a relationship with God.
Satan is a master of deception, and I pray people get rid of him out of their system once and for all.
God Bless

Satanism is poison. We see here people feel whatever they wish about the ‘faith’. It is confusion.

Am I then become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

“Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark them who make dissensions and offences contrary to the *doctrine *which you have learned and avoid them.”

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

“…who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth…”

Don’t forget that conversion into the One Church Jesus Christ established is still officially taught by the One Church that He established. Your point about the Church using the term “separated brethren” is a reference to those who are Protestant through no fault of their own. It still doesn’t make the belief system morally or doctrinally acceptable, just as the ignorance of the Aztecs doesn’t make human sacrifice right. Ignorance doesn’t mean a sin isn’t a sin, it only mitigates the guilt of the sinner.

Ever hear of tough love? Being nice because somebody *might *convert isn’t good when the truth is put on the back-burner. This is what drove me away from Christianity years back…it was all about personal beliefs and preferences, not truth. Just because what I’ve said sounded harsh doesn’t make it any less true, or any less Christian. Also note, I did not condemn Protestants themselves, but Protestantism, which is sinful in and of itself. Does this make Protestants bad? Of course not, and I’ve never said that. I’ve known Protestants, Mormons, Atheists even, who’ve been better “Christians” than a lot of Catholics. Jesus did preach love, which is important, very important (but remember tough love); keep in mind though, He never said “I am love” but “I am the Truth.” Hope this clarifies any misunderstanding.

I spoke of all of us having a common belief and that is Christ, in Him we are joined, Im not sure how that makes you state what you did about me being a ememy?

It didnt sound harsh but rather accusing. It sounded like you were saying that because satan caused the split that protestants were following him. Because they werent following the one true church. So put in that way, yea it makes it sound like you think protestants are bad.

Thats why I said dont put stock in satan even if he did cause the split, because God will turn it around and even though split He will reach His sheep still.

So fine if you werent saying that great, we have a understanding then. 🙂

Im sorry you found a church earlier that was more concerned with appeasement than truth.

You mention it was all about personal beliefs and preferences. were they sacrificing truth for those? Is that where you get your thoughts of tough love?

🤷

Wow! So how did you know that he was “sicking dark spirits” on you? Did he tell you or did you “sense” something? Can these people actual “control” dark spirits (I’m assuming these are demons?) or is it just their imagination?

Anyone who claims to ‘control’ the devil or any demon is suffering from denial or delusions. But you may certainly petition them to do something.

Although… I suppose if they want someone to continue down that path they might let them think they’re being ‘controlled’.

I can understand a person who doesnt fully believe in the power and a belief in God’s love to say this…
A prayer to St Michael to banish the evil out of you with the help of God usually is a good helper.

Delraek asked if ‘these people can actually control …’
I replied ‘anyone who claims …’

Implying a person. No one said anything about god Dolphin.

AngleOfLight - if you decide to post again, maybe you could give me your ex’s name and number. I’d love to go to a so-called ‘Black Mass’ and see what all the hubbub is about. But I would likely walk out of there laughing though 😦
