This question has me a bit stumped, and I hope someone can shed some light on it for me.

I’ve been wondering how and why Satan can have any power in the world at all if he was cast out of Heaven. If he and the other fallen angels were tested and refused to obey, then how does he come to have any ability to access people in this world? It baffles me that Satan can have such an influence in the world, and be God’s arch-nemesis (so to speak), when he is a mere creation.

When someone dies, despite their ultimate destination, they can’t return to Earth to communicate with the living (assuming that seances and the like can not contact dead humans, but rather demons trying to deceive). Yet the fallen angels have the ability to be active in the living world and to influence and affect people.

What kind of freedom do the fallen angels have? I guess it means that Hell is not a place that limits a being’s freedom. I sort of understand that if God has given a creation abilities, then He doesn’t take them back if the being refuses to obey. I guess.

Any thoughts?

I don’t believe he has power. But he is able to manipulate us all through persuasion.

Angels are different beings than humans. Besides, Gabriel appeared to Mary. Its evident that they can do this.

No, God has not plan to destroy spirits and souls. Even those who do not enter into full communion with Him at the end of times will live on forever, but in hell.

Apocalypse (Revelation) 20:7
And when the thousand years shall be finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go forth, and seduce the nations, which are over the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, and shall gather them together to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
