If you go to a Saturday morning Mass and receive Communion, then go to a Saturday Vigil Mass for Sunday, can you receive Communion again since it is technically for Sunday?

Thanks.

Yes. In fact, you could receive the Most Holy Eucharist again even if the second time was not at the Sunday Vigil (for example, if the second Saturday Mass was a wedding or funeral).

According to Canon Law:
Code:
"One who has received the blessed Eucharist may receive it again on the
same day only within a eucharistic celebration in which that person
participates, without prejudice to the provision of can. 921 §2" (canon 917).

"It is most strongly recommended that the faithful receive holy Communion in
the course of a eucharistic celebration. If, however, for good reason they ask
for it apart from the Mass, it is to be administered to them, observing the
 liturgical rites" (canon 918).

"§1 Christ's faithful who are in danger of death, from whatever cause, are to be
strengthened by holy Communion as viaticum.

"§2 Even if they have already received holy Communion that same day, it is
nevertheless strongly suggested that in danger of death they should
 communicate again" (canon 921).

yes, you can receive twice in one day. the only regulation is that at least one of the time must be at a mass that you attend. so you can receive the Eucharist twice as long as It is not brought to you both times.

If it were a problem, then I would be in deep trouble since I regularly go to Saturday morning and the Sunday Vigil Masses.

Here is the Canon on receiving twice in a day:
Can. 917 One who has received the blessed Eucharist may receive it again on the same day only within a eucharistic celebration in which that person participates, without prejudice to the provision of can. 921 §2.

Thanks for all your help. This past weekend, I attended Sunday Mass instead of the Vigil because I was under the impression you could only receive Communion once a day.

Again, thanks.

More precisely, the second time must be at a mass that you attend.
