Remember Roseanne Rosannadanna?

And Emily Litella? (“Never mind.”)

And Chevy Chase? (I’m Chevy Chase, and you’re not.")

How about the Czech Brothers? (“We’re two wild and crazy guys.”)

How about Ackroyd as the Norge repairman:bigyikes:
That was funny and shocking - for the time. Now you can sit anywhere, a park bench, Church, etc., and see the same thing.
When we first heard Archie Bunker flush, it was all downhill from there.

Ancient motto (that I just made up): They who truly have the funny don’t need to swear to get a laugh.

When Belushi did Samarai Deli, he hardly spoke! Chee-burger, chee-burger got lots of laughs as well. —KCT

Very hard to watch, looks like they are reaching and not being creative as they could be. If I do watch its for a very short time.:ehh:

The skit that always cracked me up was." The Loud Family," real fuuny stuff.

Never got really interested in SNL. I may have watched a total of about an hour of the show in my lifetime.

PF

Ok, I still watch it. The funniest sketch I saw this past season was when Darrell Hammond played Donald Trump filming a Domino’s Pizza commercial. He kept calling it “Dominico’s” and messing up his lines! LOLOLOLOL It was soooo funny, I was practically in tears!

…I guess you’d have to see it…

Don’t forget we lost John Belushi from the original cast.
1975-1985, SNL’s glory years.
Bass-O-Matic ‘76
Mr. Bill
The Church Lady
The Coneheads
The Loopners
THe orignial SNL News , Jane you ignorant…’(you know the rest!)

Even the musicaly guest were better!

It’s a shame, When MadTV first came on, I thought it was better than what was currently then on SNL.

And what about Second City
'Doug & Bob Great White North

AND
‘that blowed up real good!’ Does anyone else miss John Candy Too?!
Ohhhh, yeeeaaahhhhh…the good ol’ days!

(And don’t forget Father Guido…and two wild and crazy guys…and does anyone else miss Gilda, too?!)

Billy Crystal was great on Saturday Night Live people tend to forget about him. He was on just one season but his work on that show is underated.

Chris Rock and Robert Downey Jr and Julie Louis Dreyfus were also on the show but their one season unlike Crystals were very forgetable its amazing how much talent passed though that show until very recently, it is almost unwatchable right now.
The funniest show they have had in the past 3 years was when Ashlie Simspon got caught red handed lip synching besides that no great moments.
And of course she wasn’t trying to be funny or go for laughs but I was rolling.:dancing:

None of you have mentioned Steve Martin. Now there was a funny guy.

Any SNL out fans out there?

This season is really bad. I love the show, but the writing is awful.

Only the great Amy Poehler does well.
I have been an SNL fan since I was a kid. (Since I first Saw Eddie Murphy as Mr Robinson from Mr.Robinson’s neighborhood when I was about 7 yrs old. (My parents didn’t usually let me watch it but when I caught pieces here n’ there it was great. I was in highschool during the great Adam Sandler /Christ Farley/David Spade days… good times!

I like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler is funny.

I always enjoy the SNL commercials. Did you see one of the more recent ones with “Woomba” a feminime hygine product that is shaped like a roomba vaccum cleaner, only it’s pink and chases a woman through a forest glen. I cracked up!

I think Tina Fey is the only descent writer on the show right now.

Did you see the skit (last year?) with Debbie Downer at Disney World? The guest host was Lindsay Lohan! It was hilarious to me because I recently returned from a Disney Magical Gathering with my family and my mom looks and acts EXACTLY like Debbie Downer!

My mom wanted to go to the beach last week and as we were standing on the shoreline, holding my kids hands and wading barefoot in the waves, she actually said this:

“What would we do if the waves suddenly went WAYYY out there (because of a tidal wave)?”
I said “well I guess we would go running to the nearest tall building/ hotel.” She said “Yeah, right, we would be trampled and we couldn’t get there in time with three little kids and your dad recovering from Knee surgery…” What a beautiful moment at the beach!

LOL MY mom is TOTALLY Debbie Downer!

If you don’t know what I’m talking about here is a link…MY MOM!!!

Steve Martin is my favorite comedian! The Jerk is one of the greatest funny movies of all time!!!1

I also enjoy the movies he wrote and directed. Mixed Nuts, Parenthood, LA Story,

Funny guy!?

He is a* wild and crazy guy*!

Joseph Bilodeau:
Haven’t watched since “fight the real enemy.”
I was watching that night… IT was horrible! I didn’t quit watching SNL because they didn’t know waht she was going to do, but Sinead O’Conner was forever banned from my ears by my own choice.

SNL REEKS

Since Molly Shannon, Will Ferrell, Anna Gastmeyer, Cheri Oteri and Chris Kataan left, this show has been running on FUMES.

I have since rededicated myself to a show that has CONSISTENTLY had good comedic skits and funny writing… MAD TV

Does anyone remember the Muppets from the first few years…Skred, Ploobis, Peuta and the Mighty Favog?
