Going to Saturday Vigil Mass instead of Sunday Morning Mass is a lot more convenient because someone can lay around the house until going out to lunch and do some shopping. The only time that I go to Sunday Morning Mass is on Easter and when I am busy on Saturday

Well, not to burst your bubble, but that’s not why you or anyone ought to be attending the Vigil Mass instead of one on Sunday. It was meant for those who, for good reason, cannot attend on Sundays, not so we can be lay abouts and go shopping on Sundays! 😉

I truly hope that you are being sarcastic.

Oh well, at least you are going to Mass. We are all at different stages on our journey in the faith. Hopefully, you will pass from doing things when they are CONVENIENT for you to doing things because you want to know, love, and serve God–whether it is convenient for you or not.

God bless.

Nice try. Try to be more subtle next time. Parody works much better that way.

And the rest of you…don’t feed the trolls. :tsktsk:

I actually prefer the Vigil Mass for Easter. Most people do not want togo through all the readings, plus the people coming into the Church.

I think he/she’s being sarcastic, am I the only one who noticed? Then again, maybe I’m wrong.

If I AM wrong, can’t someone sleep in, lay around all day and/or go shopping on Saturday and go to Mass on Sunday night?

I have looked at his other posts. Sadly, he is not being sarcastic. 😦

I happen to agree with this guy. Only I prefer the hip hop Saturday Vigil Mass. Where Father rhymes everything and wears his Biretta off to the side. Great stuff, really. http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon14.gif
You know, I’ve noticed from your posts that you sound like you are so unhappy with the church you attend. How about finding a different parish? I mean, if its that bad to where all you’re doing is griping constantly how about making a change? Then again its always easier to make sarcastic remarks and stay where you are.file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/LORRIE%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/TEMP/moz-screenshot-1.jpg

And then what? People will say that he is parish hopping. People will condemn him for doing what you are saying that he should do.

I’ve seen it time and time again.

He shouldn’t have look to find a parish where the priest celebrates Mass according to the rubrics. He shouldn’t have to look to find a parish where the supposed Catholics act like every other protestant in words and in deeds. He should, however, expect these things and more from any parish that he assists Mass at. It’s sad that he can’t though.

Where’s the humour on this forum!? I certainly have my problems with the church. And I go wherever I get the most out of the Mass. Thank you for your concern though, really.

You make valid points, thank you.

About the Saturday Night Mass, if you are serious and not playing us for fools…My reponse is Saturday Night Masses are a Blessing for many people, because of the increase workforce on Sundays of Nurses, Doctors, Police, Firemen, Bus drivers and anyone else who truly must work on Sundays, also Family obligations, such as tending to a sick family member, some parents with small children and so on. Most of these people would be forced to risk losing their job or missing Mass. It is truly a wonderful thing for them. There is absolutly nothing wrong with attending Saturday Night Mass. That is why it’s there.

He shouldn’t have to do any of the above said, but then again this IS the real world. I have gone to Mass at every Church here in Little Rock. Why did I do this you ask? So I could find one I was comfortable with. When I found one that was as close to perfect as I could find I became a member there. I don’t know about other people but I’ve never condemned anyone for parish hopping.
