I hope everyone will watch today’s Mass on EWTN, Fr. Pacwa preached a powerful sermon which helps explain the radical secularism of our day especially the attempts of the current administration to sideline and neuterize the participation of people of faith in our public life. The spirit of evil which guides todays political life is expressed in the radical spitit of Alynski which calls for the elevation of the idea of " radical means justifies the end of the common good " as the guiding principle of political action and legislation. And that explains what is going on today and for the past 30 years or so.

:sad_yes:

Incredible homily on Saint Maximillian Kolbe and today’s secular society! I listened to it in the car on the way to the office. Fr. Pacwa is a very knowledgeable and holy priest; I’d love to be able to sit down and hear more stories of this type. God bless the man!

How has the current administration attempted to "sideline and neuterize (sic?) the participation of people of faith in our public life’?

He has a good CD about Relativism and Her Three Ugly Sisters. It is available through the EWTN website.

For one thing, the HHS mandate will force Catholic institutions (and others) to choose between rejecting their Faith, or giving up their business–businesses which help the sick, the poor, and educate. There have also been Catholic adoption agencies forced out of existence–sidelined-because they could not in conscience conform to the secular religion being imposed on them.

Have you heard of their reference to freedom of “worship”? A subtle shift from freedom of “religion”. He who controls the language wins.

P.S. Pie R round?

I’m listening to it right now on YouTube. It’s amazing! (As an aside, I feel a little silly not remembering today was St. Maximilian’s feast day, since he was one of the saints I developed a great respect for during my journey back to the church 😊 )

The HHS mandate is clearly on the current administration, but based upon what I’m reading, any Catholic adoption agencies that have closed did so on their own accord as a result of state, not federal, laws.

Has that reference been made more than once?

Yep! It’s a pleasure conversing with a fellow geometricianist.

State laws and regulations are part and parcel of the same " strategy. " That should be obvious.

Not sure but when it is made by the President of the U.S. or by one of his department heads that indicates a secularist, Alynski attitude that incapsulates the stragegy of whatever means necessary for the " common " good. This is exactly the attitude of all dictatorships. The thing is the snake always truns on the handler eventually. I’m amazed the the Alynskites are oblivious to the fact that all dictatorships eventually eat their own ( i.e. in a dictatorship no one is secure. Good-by kumbaya!!).

Always a pleasure to talk to the " objective " opposition.

I had a friend at work who fled the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. He had lived under communist dictatorship since the end of WW-II when the Russians took over. He used ot say that, “A revolution eats its own children.” He also noted a number of similarities between the Democratic Party and the Communist Party.
