I should read the whole thread before I answer, but to me it boils down to something that was very important to my old Protestant background – and that hasn’t gone away: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God wants a relationship of love with us. That means that we must have free will in order to respond to grace. God will never take away our free will because without it we cannot love. That’s very similar to what I’ve heard from the Pelagian group I grew up in. So ultimately it depends on my decision, not on God. If not, why not?
Apologies if this has already been said. I usually read a whole thread before jumping on.
We are saved by grace and “faith working through love.” Gal. 5:6)
