The transformation of Christian faith-hope in the modern age: Faith Hope Displaced

Why does man struggle with keeping his focus on faith, which inspires hope. Hope is a result of the Word of God in action in our life. When God has His place in our life, all else falls into place, including science. In paragraph 17, the Holy Father is pointing out how a large percentage of mankind has replaced faith, the natural order, to science as the guiding light. That is why faith becomes displaced, so does hope.

Ironically those who regard science as the panacea for all ills are ultimately doomed to despair because it cannot save anyone from death. Without religion we are but sparks in the dark…
 
Amen. Death of the body is inevitable; death of the Soul is eternal. Science has no influence; Faith with Hope is eternal.
