I’m an elementary music teacher, and have also taught beginning band and orchestra.
Soooo, I can play “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” on many, many instruments.
I used to play spoons, but then had an accident that mangled my left hand, so my spoons just don’t have the right sound anymore – so sad.
But I still play the piano and organ, have relearned the guitar (bought a left-handed guitar), and am picking up ukulele pretty quickly (again, left-handed).
By the way, “left handed” string instruments means, ironically, that the right hand does all the work on the fingerboard. My left hand can only strum, with a tiny bit of picking (mostly bass notes with the thumb).
I have a lovely old violin (built in 1888) that needs a few repairs to be playable. If I can also get it restrung to play left-handed, I might learn violin (fiddle). But I’ll have to create some sort of strap or handle to manage the bow with my left hand or I’ll be dropping it all over the place.
I can also play the recorder, but no one wants to hear that instrument, let’s be honest.
