I have not been to the Philosophy forum in a while, so I thought I might “celebrate” my posting back on it by postulating this “apparently” paradoxical question…courtesy of that great mind and person, Homer Simpson.
Do not remember which season he asked this on, but it is to its credit that professors ask this in their theology classes, Christian or otherwise. I just read a book of a dialogue between an atheist and a believer where the believer (a theology professor) admitted he asks this question to his students…
The question is…(and from my POV, it is ultimately a question of the omnipotence and humanity/non-humanity of Jesus, though some may disagree here).
Some of you may have already heard it.
“Can Jesus microwave a burrito so hot where even he cannot eat it?”
The question is all over youtube and google, so you may search there.
Personally, I think: if yes, then he is not really a God----if no, then he is really a God. But you folks (who are more trained in logic) may defeat me here. So what do you think? Comments welcome.
