There are so many bad things said about spouses on these forums that I thought we should have a thread where we said only GOOD things about our spouses. 👍

I’ll start.

My husband is my best friend forever, my first true love, my college sweetheart, my soulmate. My husband is the kindest, most loving, generous, hardworking, selfless, self giving person I know. He has loved me and treasured me and cared for me as though I were a queen, even though I’ve been sick since day one of our dating, and have worsened through the years. He has maturity and wisdom beyond his years. He is my joy and my heart. He is my forever love. ❤️ Thank you God for the precious gift you have given me in giving me my husband. :gopray:

Your turn…

Nice ‘vert. That’s a tough act to follow.

My wife is a wonderful mother and next to the Holy Spirit is the single strongest force in my positive spiritual formation. I do love her.

*aw, convert…what a wonderful thread!

My husband is honest, genuine, and has always been there for me. He might be the most honest person I know. He makes me feel special, and is an awesome chef-like cook! He is also very kind, and is a terrific dad to our kids. :)*

What an awesome idea - and witness. Go Convert in 99!

My wife is such an amazing woman. She takes care of all 4 kids and still have time to tell me she loves me, scratches/rubs my back. She’s the love of my life, my best friend, is gorgeous outside, beautiful inside and makes me keep striving to be more like Christ. I wish she could understand how much I appreciate, love and need her. She’s the image of perfection this-side of Heaven - and I wish she realized that.

Since I suspect this post will be read and active more with women than men, I wanted to share this as well. As soon as I started this post, she called me, and was down on herself again because she wasn’t going to have dinner ready and the house was messy. I don’t expect any of this - and it’s a huge treat to even have dinner and be able to walk in the house with all the kids’ stuff around. In my mind, she’s a great housewife and mother as long as the kids are alive, ate something and have their mother with them knowing they are loved (whether with soft or tough love). To all you ladies worried you need to live up to some 1950’s image of a perfect housewife - step back from the ledge and realize how much you do, and how appreciative your husband is - whether he’s good at showing it or not. I love my wife with all my being - and wish she could see herself through my eyes!

Any thoughts on how to show my appreciation and love when she’s getting down on herself for being human - feel free to share!

My husband is amazing. He is one of the few people in my life that I trust completely. He is a great provider, doesn’t complain (even when I give him reason to) and is an exceptional dad to our kids. He allows me the freedom to pursue those things that are important to me…and boy can he make me laugh! Of course, it doesn’t hurt that he’s such a handsome beast! 😃

Once upon a time… I thought it was possible to live in a truly Catholic sacramental marriage with someone who loved the Faith as much as I did, who didn’t bat an eye at praying a rosary with me, or going to visit Jesus in adoration. I always knew it was possible to love someone not in a hot and heavy lusting way, but in a pure and honest and grace-filled way. Once upon a time I was told that was a pie in the sky ideal.

Then I met my husband. 😃

He is the most intelligent, tallented, funny, gorgeous, and loving person I’ve ever known. He is my dream come true in so many ways. With him, I am living my dream. ❤️

Smart, well read, fiesty, brilliant, mischevious, the warmest of christian hearts and a great dancer. Im also one of the few here that can say she is absolutely perfect right now.

My wife is absolutely the most wonderfully patient, loving, caring, Christian woman I have ever met. The first time that she opened her golden heart to me I knew, without a doubt, it was wedding time for the Tomster. She got me - hook, line and sinker. (And I was a particularly tough catch. :hey_bud: )

I have made it a goal since our wedding to always say nice things about my husband. I just don’t join in on the hubby-bashing parties that women sometimes have.

So for today I will say that my dearest husband spends at least an hour a week at our Adoration chapel. That is a wonderful, wonderful thing!

My husband and I will be married 6 years this July. He is slow to anger, understanding, patient to the extreme, generous, and a fantastic father… While neither he or I are Catholic he might actually be a Saint >.<

(Seriously, how many Christians would put up with a devil-worship’in wife!)

A blessing to all. A wise counsel. My best friend. One who lives in the saving grace of Christ. A good parent to our children. One with whom I have shared 36 years of blessings.

Great idea for a thread topic!

My husband is an amazing father to our son, a hard worker on the job and at home, a terrific cook, and a romantic and loving partner. He is fiercely loyal, has hundreds of friends, is strong and handy and smart. And I love him to pieces. I thank God I have been so blessed to have him in my life!

The good this that I do not have one and I am gonna stay that way.

My husband is kind, funny, honest, and loving. He has taught me so much about the Catholic faith, love, the Godfather movies 🍿, MI football :okpeople: and many little bits of trivia. He has tried to eat meals I cooked that even I couldn’t eat and didn’t stop trying until I suggested pizza 🍕. He works hard so I can stay home with Joe and is a wonderful dad. He is the only reason I attended mass for years, and for this I will forever be thankful.:highprayer:

He’s a saint to have put up with me for 25 years!
He is a hard worker, very intelligent, compassionate, full of common sense.
He is with his sister who is very ill right now, in his hometown which is quite a few miles from our home. He flew there on Sunday and is making sure she’s well-taken care of in the hospital. I love him for his sense of responsibility to his family.
I love him because he cried after I gave birth to each of our children.
God bless him, and God blessed me by having him cross my path 26 years ago this month!

Thanks for starting this thread! It’s always a great reminder of how much God loves me when I count my blessings!

My wife legitimately does work hard. Extremely hard. Perhaps too hard.

Mind you, I am no slacker, but my wife does hold down two jobs. She is both a full-time school teacher, and she has a direct sales business. She easily turns in 60-70 hour workweeks. I generally do about the same nowadays.

I wish she didn’t work as hard as she does, but I see no opportunity to stop her. Even if I worked harder, I am convinced she would work just as hard. For her, it almost like an obsession.

I know - I shouldn’t complain. There are plenty of folks who have spouses that are slackers. They wish they had my spouses like mine. But it is possible to take a positive characteristic to an extreme.

p.s., she is a cancer surviror, and showed extreme mental and physical strenght and toughness, when she overcame her bought with the Big C.

p.p.s., she didn’t throw me out of the house years ago, although I certainly deserved it.

p.p.p.s., I generally have a meal waiting for me, when I get home. It may not be warm, and it may not be home-cooked, but when I get home, there is something edible.

p.p.p.s., I have never had to retrieve her from a prison lockup or rehab center.

I’m not married yet, but my fiance is my rock, my other half… he’s always there when I need him, always makes me laugh even when I’m really PMSy depressed, is SUPER intelligent and always willing to lend his brain-power to whatever problem I might be having, and works really, really hard in order to make sure he passes all his courses so he can stay in the co-op program and make money on work terms so we can get married, as well as provide an education that will enable him to provide for us and whatever little blessings God decides to send our way later on. 😃 I love him with all my heart, and look forward to spending the rest of my life with him!:blushing:❤️❤️

My husband is the most beautiful person I have ever known. He is a gift from God and I can’t imagine my life without him. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He’s a wonderful father, a true leader of our home. He guides us all in our faith and his love never ends! He works so hard so I can stay home with the kids. He is kind and strong. He has the most beautiful blue eyes! I still get so excited when he comes home from work and I go weak in the knees when he says my name!
I believe he is working towards Sainthood, being married to me for 14 years now! I can’t say enough good things about him, I’m getting tears in my eyes just thinking about what an awesome man he is. I’m so very blessed!

Ooh, me, me! I want a turn!

My husband is my dearest friend, the only one whom I trust with absolutely everything. He is the only one who knows all about me, and he loves me anyway. He works so hard to be able to provide for us. He is wonderful with our children. He is taking the three big ones to the movies today (Star Trek), and it was all his own idea. He thinks of little things just to please the children. He is the only one who shares all my interests.

I love that my husband and I can sit and talk for hours about everything from the Crusades to Star Trek to the Icelandic calendar to St. Dominic.

My husband is a devoted Dominican-in-formation, and he inspires me to be a better woman.

I could go on and on. If you read this, dearest, I love you!

I am so blessed to have my husband! He is the most loving, caring person I have ever met. He is a true man, honest, faithful and strong, who is working and studying hard to provide for me and the family we hope to have. He knows how to comfort me when I am stressed and encourage me to be the woman God is calling me to be. He laughs like a little boy, and knows how to get me to laugh along with him! We can spend hours together talking, playing Scrabble, or just around the house doing chores, and never get bored. He is my best friend!
