It looks as if my other thread disappeared. At least I can’t find it. So, to continue:

Yesterday I got to participate in an even in which Jews had donated a sports field to a local jewish day school. It was uplifting to see what a difference the field made to the school and to be associated with jews committed to making a difference in their community.
 
O.K. what are we supposed to discuss in this thread, if anything? Maybe just to say it’s nice to have many religions involved in charities, not just one religion. It’s even possible to get involved simply as individuals…
 
Providing something a given group of people is in great need of is a great thing. It’s certainly encouraged in our respective religions.

Last week I saw and heard our new baby’s heartbeat for the first time. He/she was kicking and swimming around like a little Olympian. That was a real treat to see.

Bee sweet congrats on the up coming kid. one word of advice from a family that recently had their second. Sleep now!!!

BTW I like the idea of positive discussions I’m just not that good at developing the topics so keep it up. 🙂

Last week, as I was walking to my car in a supermarket’s parking lot, I saw this old lady coming out of her car. I saw that she just got her new brand car and complimented on it. She then showed me all the feature of her nice car. It is an awesome car and although she is a bit old, she had problem using all the features of her car. 🙂

Then, before I said goodbye, she noticed I had a Rosary in my car, she asked me if I was a Christian. The next thing, we discuss about our common interest - visiting Nursing Home! She is not a Catholic and she doesn’t go to any church although she believes in Christ.

I am planning to invite her to come with my group to visit the elderly and she will be able to play flute for them.

Our two year old daughter loves to watch the dancing on the show “Do you think you can Dance?” She squeals with joy and spins around and around and then falls down on the floor. She’ll laugh and get up and sway back and forth.

I love to watch her.

Now - so nice and sweet.
Babies in my care are SO funny.
I do special-care nanny work.

One baby, now fine, in chemo for eye cancers for a year, bilingual thanks to her German mommy, always corrected me if I used the English words for chair, tree and (teddy) bear. Too funny since she was only 18 months and still mastering any language.

Another baby, only eight months old, also with eye cancer, only accepts my presence in her life if I greet her with “namaste.” Both of her parents are Hindu (Asian Indians).

In general, children crack me up.
(My father always said I was “easily amused.”)
