Saying Our Lords name not knowingly

[VigorousCow70]

Hi this is a topic I have been thinking to ask for a while hopefully it will, i watch a lot of YouTube videos like animations, videos games,or just funny commentary videos with some swearing, but a lot of them use Our Lords name in vain i am very consciously watching so I don’t accidently say God’s name in vain luckily I don’t but it might come up in my head and be said there without me knowing I I don’t know if I have said it in my mind but is continuing to watch the videos a mortal sin.

Again, whether something is a mortal sin is a question you should be asking a priest. Anonymous posters on this website are not the best authorities.

That said, mortal sin is a situation that is considered grave matter (a grave offense against God), knowingly, willfully, and deliberately done. It (what you describe) doesn’t sound like something that qualifies to me, but again, talk to a priest.
It also sounds a little bit like you are being a bit scrupulous and a priest is the best source for clarification.
