Saying the Rosary while walking

Does anyone have a thought on whether it is okay to say the Rosary while walking? Or is it better to always be seated or kneeling while saying the Rosary?

It is fine to pray while walking. If you are walking in a distracted environment, like rushing to your job, try to set aside some time to pray during your quiet hours too, but for many of us, we need to combine prayer with some other activities or the prayer is just not going to get done. Praying and walking can also be a good way to get exercise.
 
You can certainly pray it while walking. I have prayed many a Hail Mary while rocking a baby to sleep, which usually involves pacing back and forth. Reverence is important, but I believe what is in your heart matters more to God and the Blessed Mother than your posture does.
 
I’ve seen several such photos of Pope St. John Paul II walking while praying the rosary. It is my preferred way. If I had to pray it only when being still I know I would not pray it as often as I do now.

Sure it is.

Even better, because of the rhythm is the Jesus Prayer:

Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

You can sync it with the speed of your breathing and walking.

Well I guess some might argue that it’s not giving the Blessed Mother quality time if you are trying to do something else while saying the Rosary. The idea being that one should make the time to say the Rosary as a separate event.

Two points:
(1) What could be giving the Blessed Mother more quality time than walking through and experiencing the joys of what her Son created?
(2) Who’s idea is it “one should make the time to say the Rosary as a separate event”?
 
My wife will makes me go on a daily 2mile forced march (for health reasons). I can get two full rosaries in, and I look forward to it.
 
I used to love my walking rosary each evening. Now, I cannot walk much and cannot walk/pray. Thank God that you have the ability and pray for all of those who do not!

Well I have to be honest, I walk my dog several times a day. I say the Rosary everyday. Saying the Rosary while walking my dog is efficient because it allows me to be doing two things at the same time. If I say the Rosary separately it’s going to take more time out of the day. And THAT is why I’m asking.
 
I do it all the time.
What could be wrong with it? It’s a great way to pray while out in God’s creation.
 
You have no obligation to pray the Rosary. Praying it while walking, driving, running, doing the dishes, mowing the grass, shoveling snow, rocking a baby to sleep…all good and pleasing to Almighty God.

Weather permitting, I, too, like to walk when praying the rosary.
During Lent, I think I’ll combine walking the Stations with my rosary…
 
My former parish had a rose garden called the rosary garden. There are stones, each of which corresponds to each bead. You stop on each stone and recite whatever prayer corresponds to it. By the time you have recited the entire 5 mysteries you would have completed the path through the garden.

It was very nice to pray the rosary while looking at the roses and smelling their nice fragrance.

I’ve taken up jogging in the past couple months, and I pray the rosary while pushing through my 3 miles.

Without God, the rosary, and the blessed virgin Mary, I couldn’t have been able to push past week one of this program.
