I think the confusion has come about because you often start threads about your parents. They are often critical. The threads I mean. Maybe think before you post and folks night get a more balanced view of your home life.

Yes,it is nice that your mother’s opinions mean something to you, but they should not be that important in your life right now at your age.

I too have the view that you are sheltered, or perhaps that isn’t the right word but maybe “stunted”. Many of your threads have given that impression.

I urge you to think about the future and your independance and what that means for the rest of your life. Careers and a wife will be on the horizon and you are going to need to be independent and also learn to have a healthy relationship with your mother.
