In what context is something considered scandal. Like if I dip tobacco but my wife doesn’t like it, but knows I do it. Is it considered scandal because it makes her frustrated/angry? Where would you draw the line?
A scandal is giving the impression to others that u are sinning. This can happen even if no sin is being commited, such as living with the opposite sex without marriage etc… I don’t know what dipping tobacco is, but it sounds like smoking, which is not a sin, under normal adult circumstances. Smoking can be part of a scandal if you prompt a minor to do this by bad example and so on.
If you disrespect your wife and give this impression to others it could be considered scandalous.
