Scapular and Blessings

I have been wearing a brown scapular for a couple of days now. I found it in my house and I have a feeling that it has been blessed before, but I’m not really sure. Is it possible for me to get it blessed again?
 
Yes, you can and should. The blessing is really for the person, not the scapular itself.
 
If you become invested in the brown scapular then you won’t need to have it blessed.
 
If you have been enrolled in the Brown Scapular, that means that your first Scapular was blessed. You do not need to get each new scapular blessed because the original blessing carries over.
 
However, since the OP says it was found in his/her house, it’s obviously not a brown scapular that was used for the OP. Hence if the OP has never been invested in the brown scapular it needs to be done since it’s the person not the piece of cloth that has the blessing.
 
Talk to your priest and tell him where you found it and see what he says.
