It’s an association of current and former altar boys. As far as I know, they are to wear what any other altar server would wear – there are no special rights accorded them.
The two normative types of vesture for altar servers in the US are the alb and cincture, along with the cassock and surplice. Except for extraordinary circumstances, these should be used, nothing else.
Also, I think only Dominicans can wear the scapular entirled to their order.
The Altar servers are under the Catholic School of Dominicans and One of their Dominican sisters are the one who suggests the scapular as surplice for the alb. Because I am also confused by her suggestion.
My final question is if they are the one who suggested it what shall I do? to obey them?
thank guys
I am confused right now because I am the one who will in-charge to the altar server and I only obey for what the administrator instruction. Because we already plan we will ask first the priest if he will permit us to wear the scapular before the mass
