If you are enrolled in the scapular and your scapular you were enrolled with is broken, can you just buy a new one? I think I know the answer but was just wondering.
Thanks and God Bless,
AveMariaConvert!

Just the first one needs to be blessed by the priest when he enrolls you. Any subsequent one carries all the same graces and promises. Good thing. My kids scapulars break and fall off so often! I need to order batches of them! 🙂

Presumably though, even though the graces merited with the wearing of the Scapular are stored safely in Our Lady’s keeping, one doesn’t altogether discard the old Scapulars when finished with, as with holy statues which we have to bury when damaged or no longer required?

A broken scapular should be either buried or burned, and never just thrown in the garbage. Any new scapular can be blessed by a priest, but one never needs to be enrolled again. So glad to here that you have picked up with beautiful devotion that so many Catholics do not use anymore!

How many of you wear your scapulars every day? Mine is tucked away in my wallet! 😦

I only take mine off to shower! (Except to wash it, then I wear it in)
