Scapulars - which one and why

Regarding the scapulars to wear and the promise from our Lady; which ones are the “valid” scapulars to wear? If I was to start wearing the scapular; how do i know which is the right one our Lady had mentioned?
 
If it’s Church-approved, it’s a valid scapular. The brown scapular is fairly popular. Personally I wear a green one.

I have no idea what you mean by “valid”. A scapular is an article of devotion.

Some eighteen scapulars have been given specific approbation by the ecclesiastical authority. They are sponsored by different Orders or Congregations and have different purposes and motives.

The Carmelites share their Brown Scapular with laity who wish to wear it…the Servites share their black scapular honouring Mary’s sorrows…the Theatines their blue scapular honouring Mary’s Immaculate Conception…the Claretians their white scapular honouring the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady. There are a number of scapulars which honour Our Lord as well as scapulars worn in honour of various saints.

Although the article is over 100 years old and various provisions have changed in the intervening decades…such as the indulgences or the reservation of their blessing to certain clerics or, indeed, the requirement that scapulars be made of wool; they can now be made of synthetic fabric, for example…you may find this article a helpful start to understand the origins of the various scapulars and their use by the lay faithful.

If you choose a scapular, you should have it blessed and be invested in it by a priest or deacon. You may also choose to wear a medal in place of the scapular provided that it is blessed for the purpose of substitution, all of which is explained in the above article…although the blessing today, after the Council, is to say it again no longer a reserved blessing.
 
I put around my neck the brown Scapulars, too help protected me from the fires of Hell
 
Like some posters on previous searches, I can find zero information on the Scapular of St. Michael. Pope Leo XIII sponsored this, but suddenly, the rite dropped off completely?

The green scapular isn’t just for those that are sick. If you search for the Green Scapular Society it’s got information on the green one. What attracted me to it was two things.
1: It seemed like an easy one to get involved with and its prayer is easy enough.
2: One of the promises attached to it is faith.
