Scared of Confessing

Just to update things, confession went great. I really think the Lord gave me strength to confess it and now I am not scared to confess anything. BTW, when it comes to having to do the confession face to face, its really just me. I personally think its a little silly to go back behind the screen after seeing him face to face. Feel like I need to man up and confess now face to face. But it went great. Thanks everyone

I am glad things went well. I do not like face to face. Did it once, that was enough. Though from what I can tell from others there are many that don’t mind face to face. I, also, agree with others that you don’t have to confess face to face. If it continues to work for you great, if not you can go to a different parish but as I said I am glad it went well for you. Confession is great. I love it.

Perhaps, if we are scared or ashamed to confess something face to face, we should remember that before committing the sin. And maybe we should think that confessing face to face is the least of our worries; more worry lies within not confessing the sin at all…or in committing the sin. We will face God with our sins at our judgement, and I’d like to get it off my chest ahead of time.

Truth: I do prefer anonymous confession, but need to remember the above advice myself.
