I am trying to do my assignments and the prophecies just keep running in my mind.
Ask Jesus and Mary to help you put them out of your mind.I am trying to do my assignments and the prophecies just keep running in my mind.
Only God is the source of prophecy. The evil one cannot prophesy, nor can we unless God gives the gift of prophecy to a person.A prophecy can be from God, from the person’s own mind, or even from Satan, and I don’t think there is evidence this is from God.
Akita was not “confirmed”… it was “approved.” And an “approval” is simply a statement that it is worthy of belief, not a statement that it’s actually true. (I suppose someone could say the terminology is nitpicking, but “confirmed” implies a stronger level of approval than is actual).
Our Lady of Akita has been confirmed by the Church. This includes a message from the Virgin Mary that the world will face a terrible catastrophe and that nations will be destroyed. I have thought about what it will be like personally. I am concerned but not frightened. What can I do about it? I am 79 and hope it will not happen while I am alive. But I believe in God. Let his will be done. Even if I have to suffer such a thing, God is with me.
If you are referring to the Second Secret, people couldn’t have listened, because the secret wasn’t revealed until after World War II ended. As far as the success of this prophecy among men is concerned, I think it is like the prediction at Fatima that there will be another war (which, as it turned out was World War II). I see no evidence that people listened (and, it is likely, they didn’t want to hear about such a thing).
A few notable people have made prophecies over a supposed “Three Days of Darkness” but to my knowledge none of them are approved and I question how many of them are actual prophecies given they are frequently presented without any actual source. The story that there will be three days of darkness has no justification as far as I can see, and so I disregard this. A prophecy can be from God, from the person’s own mind, or even from Satan, and I don’t think there is evidence this is from God.
The prophesy of Blessed Anna Maria Taigi is technically approved, since she is a beati and there is no question of the prophecy being written by anyone else and attributed to her. To my knowledge, that’s the only such prophecy that could be considered approved.A few notable people have made prophecies over a supposed “Three Days of Darkness” but to my knowledge none of them are approved
I thought that was Thomas Jefferson“The problem with quotes found on the Internet is that they are often not true.” -Abraham Lincoln
What was the message? I know we can go look it up online but many won’t or don’t have the time. It would be helpful to have it right in the thread.Strangely enough, for the first time in decades Sr Agnes received a message in October, around the time of the Amazon Synod and just before the Coronavirus and the Eucharist being taken away.
Unapproved private revelations aren’t supposed to be posted on this forum. Even if subsequent “messages” are rightly or wrongly attributed to someone involved in an earlier approved private revelation, this new “message” is not yet approved, it may or may not be in the future.Poet:![]()
A very short and simple message on October 6: “ Put on ashes and pray a repentant Rosary every day . You (Sr. Agnes) must become like a child and make sacrifices every day.”What was the message? I know we can go look it up online but many won’t or don’t have the time. It would be helpful to have it right in the thread.
What’s interesting is the date. It was the first day of the Amazon Synod
Her message last October has not been approved by the Church, so it falls in the category of “Unapproved Private Revelation” and we are not allowed to discuss it here. What was the message?
